personally, I believe that the current schedule for classes is the best choice. This is because of several key reasons. To begin with we need to look at high school. In many high schools across the country schools schedule hour long classes, exemptions from this are scheduling practices such as block scheduling. The transition between high school and college is made easier by having similar scheduling lengths for classes. Next, we should look towards time and more specifically time used for homework. Pre- college many students are told they should plan for an equal amount of time outside of college classes for homework and studying. Assuming incoming students have between 5 and 7 classes having slightly shorter classes would allow this time for students while still having ample class time for learning. I firmly believe that the current type of scheduling is the best.
