Dusk directed us through the city to an entrance to the barrows. The barrows were a common place for military personnel, as it was only accessible by such people. Dawn swiped a card on a door leading underground and we entered and proceeded through a hallway and to an elevator, where Dawn swiped her card again. We entered the busy corridors of the barrows and Dusk led us through the complex underground city to a club-looking place with a hotel lobby as the entrance. Dusk made Dawn ask for a room, we entered the room, and that's that. There were two beds and a couch.
"I call this bed," Dawn declared, jumping onto one of the twin-sized beds.
"I'll take the couch," I claimed, much to the disbelief of the soldiers.
"But you're the Minor-Major of 93!"
"Then I order you two to sleep on the beds. I'm taking the couch. Plus, I don't have identification on me, so for now, I'm a civilian-class." If you forget, I actually had had identification on my person then; lying helps souls.
"Fine, Aegrov. Just don't complain when you get uncomfortable." I could tell she was happy that I was giving Dusk a bed; it's practically a felony for a slave to sleep on a proper bed unless if their master or temporary overseer allows it. I'm Dusk's temporary overseer, and this time must be the first he'll rest in a proper bed since enslavement (barrack beds are just metal platforms).
"Well then, let's go to the politic. Both of your ready your weapons but keep them on safety; Dawn, you have taser rounds while Dusk can just use rubber rounds. Have a magazine ready for fire and on my mark, switch to actual. We might have to kills a few thugs and rioters."
"Yes, sir. We'll do just that. Right, Dusk?"
"Yes," the red alien dully confirmed.238Please respect copyright.PENANATnHpRV1hwf
We exited the barrows and took off through the city to the politics' residence according to the Oohira farmer's directions. Eventually, after evading curses from a reckless driver putting the blame of crashing onto us, we made it to a high-class apartment complex. When we entered, a single receptionist sat behind a fancy wooden desk on an ornate tiled floor.238Please respect copyright.PENANABTD1KK1Ujh
"ID, please," she plainly said. Dawn was about to hand her her military ID when I slapped away her hand and handed the receptionist my own ID. "Oh, a Minor-Major from the new Area. Well, you have limited access to this building complex and you may enter by swiping your ID on the security panels. It's been a while since we got a visit from an actual noteworthy person. All the damn politics here. Anyways, here's your ID back, and have a good day touring around our complex." She handed me back my ID and muttered something under her breath about 'he's probably just going to shoot someone' while faking a smile for us. Dawn also muttered something about me saying I didn't have an ID.238Please respect copyright.PENANAN2ABPnlBID
We went through the complex to room 1043 on the tenth floor and I swiped my card. We entered, and were greeted by the aftermath of some sort of party. Idiots lay on the couches, floor, and even the counters with their hair on their head ripped up and crazy getup like funny hats; some of the people's fingers were missing— and piecing that together, that's when we knew this was one of the cult gatherings.
"Lookie here, more 'employees'? We can sacrifice your hair and fingers for enlightenment." I looked over to the far end of the apartment and saw a lady with an overly-sized top hat in a full jumpsuit. God, cultists are the most bizarre people on this planet.
"We're looking for Mr. Oohira, ma'am," I yelled back across the open rooms.
"Then you'll need to go through the enlightenment first, love."
"I don't think you understand, Union worshiper," Dawn began, "Because we're here to arrest the man."238Please respect copyright.PENANAaBcmtpOKkU
"Then we'll just kill you!" She looked as happy as a little girl who just got her favorite piece of candy. And that's really happy. Trust me. "Arise, enlightened souls, and kill those three squirrels!" Squirrels? ... Oh, it rhymed. I see. "Skin that is brown, white, and red, burn it all off with lead!" Getting a bit dark here.
"Dawn, Dusk, this my mark," I commanded, "Actual rounds, now!" I saw out of the corner of my eye the two soldiers obeying their order.
