“Who are you? Why are you stealing these books?” I asked.
I looked back at Redy. She seemed pale, and it was unlike the Redy I saw back at the dorm. It was the opposite of fierce. She was scared.
I looked at the man again and he was carrying a silver staff. Two snakes encircled the staff, which began to move.
“Umm... Redy?” I said, frozen in place.
”Well shit.” I heard Redy whisper. She grabbed my hand and tan towards the first floor.
”What the hell was that Redy?! The snakes... they’re alive?” I screamed.
”You won’t get it. It’s better if you don’t.”
She pushed me out of the library and closed the doors. She helped me up and pushed me back down.
”What the hell Redy?!” I said.
The girls in the hall were staring at me. It was like that day.
Nona walked to us at a rapid pace, enraged.
”You two, what do you think you’re doing? If you are cleaning the mansion, clean it properly!” She said.
I helped myself up and looked at Nona. She was really angry.
”I’ll explain, Nona. Be patient. Your messenger’s in there stealing books.” She said.
”Well then, he’s staying here?”
”I don’t know. He set free his two snakes before we got to ask.”
”And you, Alice, go clean the rooms with Redy. No one is to enter the library until I say so.” Nona said and went in the library.
I looked back at Redy, who was already walking towards the staircase.
I followed her once again.
