At the beginning of Naruto, Sakura was one of the weakest characters but did have some confidence because she was very smart.

When Sasuke insulted her,

she didn’t recover until he complimented her.

At the end of Shippuden, she became very strong and confident. Becuase Sasuke wasn’t around for 3 years to ruin her self-respect and distract her from training.

He insults her again and she breaks down and cries.

Come on, Sakura! Just when they gave her some character development they had to ruin her and label her as Sasuke’s bitch forever.
