I don't know who is getting this message. It could be anyone. It couldn't be no-one. Well it couldn't be any executives. I hope. This is being uploaded to a completely secure server that is encrypted beyond recognition, and I have granted access to the people on the other side to read this.
I am Sam. The city is no place for someone like me. As America approached 1 billion in population, the nation practically became a giant city for only the richest, or the most exploitable. The things I have witnessed in town are no place for humans. 100 work hour weeks seem far too common, and too many kids dead on the streets.
I stood up to the city, and paid the price. I am Sam, an exile, a street rat... a scavenger. And this life is no life for anyone. It's not better than the alternative, but at least we live free. More than I can say for the workers in town. Poor fools.
We are located in a long abandoned coal power plant. It was going to be knocked down decades ago, but seeing how it still stood after the war in 2020-2030, they declared the building historic. Nobody goes into it. Nobody wants to go into it. It worked out so well for us so far. Look at me, keep saying us. To tell the truth, there's nobody else here. It's easy to hide out. The lights don't work, so the building looks empty in the daytime, and then at night, I do what I do best.
I have usually been hitting the discount stores. They're the easiest to loot. One guard on some nights, none on others. Basic cameras that either go out or are easy to disable. Footage saved on computers that is easy to corrupt. They probably think they just have faulty cameras. I want them to think that. Makes everything go so much smoother. 602Please respect copyright.PENANAurX8YyeTZ3
When it comes to scavving food, it's pretty easy to figure out what is best. Canned stuff, usually vegetables. Chips and potato flakes store easy and can be mixed with almost anything. Water, lots of water. Bottled water is the only clean water anymore, and while it's heavy, it's also so important that I don't mind making half my pickings water.
The other thing I don't mind having too much of is medication. I am in near constant chronic pain, and ibuprofen and acetaminophen are the two biggest assets to me not getting killed out there. It's still pain, but I can bear it much better.
I really want to hit the sporting goods store. They have dried provisions, they have camping goods, and even guns. They're locked down tighter tighter than I ever thought possible, and an armed sentry sits right outside the doors. Someday.
I cannot guarantee this will be updated daily, but I will try my best to keep you in the loop. Please, spread my message and my travels with as many people unaware of the totalitarian regime of the executives. Their trillions of dollars have strangled America, and we're all that's left.
