ENTRY 1002

START()
Things have been busy, so I have not updated in a while. Anyone who read this and wondered "is the Exile dead?", well first of all, I commend you. Secondly, no, I am still alive.
The night after I uploaded the first entry, I headed back to the discount store and stole another 4 bottles of water and now a radio. It works, barely, runs on batteries which are costly, but at the very least I get a signal. Nothing really happens, it's almost all ads, but it should give me a new list of places to hit I guess.
I also tried to hit one of those fancy "big box" stores. It went pretty well as it is dark in there after close, and from the distance the cameras record at, I just look like another night shift worker. They are not night vision cameras, I have confirmed that, and it's mostly the same types of things at the discount stores.
My latest haul contains a few cans of instant soup. No water needed, even. It's a miracle. I picked like 15 cans of it, I don't even care if it sucks at that point. Food is food. I also took a loaf of bread. I don't get much bread since it is hard to carry and stales quickly, but every now and then I will grab a loaf of maybe 5 or 6 slices. Small, and I usually use it all in a couple days. I also made sure to grab some canned meats. I could actually make a sandwich.
Sandwiches are nice. I remember them being better back when I was younger, but maybe that's just because of how things are anymore. It was still so much better than anything I have had in the last five years or so, though. Canned ham cooks really awkwardly, and I couldn't get the bread to toast quite right, but it was warm. That's more than enough for me.
I stash away my hauls within a couple shipping containers that were left in here. One of them is refrigerated and hooks into a socket in the floor. Lights don't work, but at least that does. The other container is a regular steel one, holes forming in it from rust, not very flattering but it gets the job done. All the medication is kept in a bin, and I have boxes set up as shelves inside. As of right now, it's 14 cans of soup, a can or two of chili (a label fell off on my way back, this can could be anything), 4 and a half cans of ham, 2 of sardines, a can of sausages, chili sauce, a jar of peanut butter, a couple slices of bread, and about 20 bottles of water. Should be enough for the week.
I kinda want to break into my old office. Not for any real reason (though having paper and other such things would be nice), but mostly for laughs. Too bad they're locked down to hell and back five times over.
Anyways, outside world, I will keep you posted. Please keep me in your prayers. I hope things get better from here.
