Well it's been a long time coming, hasn't it? I have come across another scavenger, Joel, a man of around 35 who has to use a buzzer to speak. I feel sorry for a lot of the kids who tried to live up to the workload and suffered for it. This kid spent the last ten years or so speaking to customers and spending nights and breaks in a smoky break room that permitted smoking. By all means, Joel should not be alive right now. I pray for him, and hope he wants to join us. We have room for a third.
But that was just a few nights, and not the whole point of this entry. I have been scouring the city for history books of any kind, and I can't find any books that discuss the span between 2019-2070. That is a lot of time to miss, don't you think? I came across three history books that I feel tell the story wonderfully. The first one mentions that the executive party came into power in 1972, the second one says that the nation was founded by the executives, and a third one claims the execs took the nation following the conclusion of a war in 2035. If this despicable act of stepping on their own toes doesn't raise a red flag, then I fear for your own sanity. Each of these three books were in circulation throughout schools in the area, and one of them even thanks the Executive Party for their generous $3,000,000,000 donation towards funding the production of the history book.
So books are out and the Internet has been scrubbed of this information. My only hope is that there are still remaining, surviving people from this era who know enough about the era. I will have to do some investigating in the mean time.
Andrea has gone picking on her own a few days in a row, and brought us back an electric smoker. We can gut the electronics and just make it a wood fire smokehouse. And then we can start taking stuff like steak and bacon. It's been years since either of us have had bacon.
Well, I still have more work to do before Joel can move in. Hopefully I remember to update this.
