AKISE AND SAKIKO'S HOUSE
THE LIVING ROOM
1:38 AM
SAKIKO wakes up, looking around the room she knew it was still late out and everybody in the neighborhood was fast asleep. She notices the position she’s in, AKISE’S arms are both drape over her body and instead of laying on AKISE’S leg she's laying on her breasts. SAKIKO watches AKISE sleep, she loves seeing AKISE not breathing because she didn’t need it, it’s so unnatural for her, AKISE’S chest lays perfectly still as she slept. It gave SAKIKO a corpse like impression, after she’s done admiring AKISE she wiggles out of her hold to look outside. Light snow flutters out of the sky so a nice powdery dust is forming already on the ground. ‘I guess it’s that time of year again’, SAKIKO thinks to herself. She goes to her room and grabs money from the dresser and makes a note for AKISE, saying she’ll be back in the morning. Leaving the note on the coffee table, SAKIKO didn't change out of her outfit so she puts on thick socks and snow boots, changing the cat sweater to a thick jacket with a beanie. She left the house locking the door behind her and quietly she walks into town to the local flower shop. The shop owner knew of SAKIKO’S tradition and made sure to stay up as long as she can and wait for SAKIKO on this particular day. Walking into the shop, SAKIKO picks out two beautiful bouquets with a variety of flowers. The shop keeper smiles and rings up SAKIKO’S purchase without another word, knowing the deal between them. Once SAKIKO pays she turns around and leaves not wanting the change back, she only wanted to get this done as fast as she could. The cemetery isn’t far off as she continues walking for another ten minutes, the gates come up to view as SAKIKO slips past the unlocked cemetery, passing stone after stone she settles on the one she’s visiting. SAKIKO looks at her watch, reading 3:06 AM, removing the dead flowers now covered in snow, she lays down the new bouquets. Then SAKIKO stands there, looking down on her parents tombstones.
SAKIKO (no emotion) : I'm still alive you guys, didn't expect me to make it this far did ya? But I'm still here bastards.
SAKIKO pulls out a chisel she hid in her jacket and starts chipping out the words 'loving' on their tombstones. Standing back up SAKIKO smiles at herself, feeling proud of her work. Without thought SAKIKO threw down the chisel, along with the dead flowers and walks away, out of the cemetery and into a nicer part of town until she comes up to a broken down house. The house is old and so far no realtors wants to take up the job and fix it, due to the bad water line and electricity, too much money to shell out. Walking into the house is easy due to the door always being unlocked, there is paint peeling off the walls along with cracks or even broken windows. The sun already began to rise as SAKIKO walks into a room and the knife still lies on the floor where she left it last time. She found it weird how no homeless man has taken refuge in it already, but then again people also think that this house is the most haunted house in the neighborhood. On the bottom of the knife lies a picture of SAKIKO’S so called “family”, looking at the picture she instinctively touches the thick scar on the back of head. She’s always thankful the ugly scar can be hidden behind her hair. SAKIKO sat on the floor, instead of reminiscing her dark times she reminisces finding AKISE, she’ll always hold that day dear to her heart. Snapping out of her thoughts she decides to get up and go home to not worry AKISE, walking out of the house into the morning sun, the powder snow already starts melting. SAKIKO leaves the nicer area of that town back into her favorite side of town where her home lays. Cops are even too afraid to go by themselves in this neighborhood, the area is also perfect for AKISE whenever she needs to feed. Without it fazing her SAKIKO argues with herself in her head, the anger for her parents become anger for AKISE’S parents.
SAKIKO (mutters) : Akise's not a monster . . . parents turning their own daughter against her will? Their the monsters.
SAKIKO continues her rant as she walks homes, the sun getting higher in the sky.
