“You didn’t notice it did you, once we all left dinner. We were separated, this game isn’t just a game it’s a damn death trap for us. The second we were about to play, the butler came and grabbed us so we could go and do what we had to do but we were taken somewhere else. We couldn’t get out of here until- Ngh!” The poor man, we were moving like we had all the time in the world and they were here fighting their hardest waiting for us to get to this point. “Lari step back!”
The beast would stand there and just stare at its prey, it’s breathing heavy and intense, it’s chest lifting and lowering by the second as it continued to examine them and watch them. Lari stared back at it as her hand reached out towards it, she stepped forward but the beast withdrew into the fog and vanished before them.

“A gunshot?”
“Spiffy. She’s in danger.”
“We can’t help her, we’ve gotta get outta here and win this. If we don’t we all die, she has to take care of herself.” Of course he’d say that, he was always like this.
“I am a doctor! I can’t just sit back and let those I know die if I know I can help them!”
“But you can’t, you won’t take a life to save one.” I felt his arm on mine firmly grasping it and squeezing, I yanked my arm away looking at him and Lari. “What’s our objective?”
“There’s a steel mill, that way. We have to get inside there and make some kind of talisman or whatever the heck. From those serums you all made, once done we set it in the doors and get out.” Then that’s our current goal, it's what we have to do.
Walking through fog that decreased our visibility knowing what was lurking within was a terrifying thought and idea, it wasn’t a good feeling at all. Every step reminds you that you’re prey to anything lurking within that sees you while you can’t see it, smells you before you smell it. It’s not something I liked… but at the end of it all. “Wait…” I knew it, a snare. That means the tree is nearby.
“How’d you see that?”
“A good hunter doesn’t fall for their traps easily, come on. I’ll be our eyes and ears, you will be our fangs and claws, and Ms. Nana will be the caretaker of our wounds. As long as we keep it together we will find our allies and work out of this.” Following my instructions they would find their way through this better and we did manage to do such pretty well as well as we could. “A generator, usually means Adam is nearby and on the works, we need to get there before he disappears.” We hurried forward and met with the nerdy man again, they talked, they chatted, they wasted valuable time.
“Can we go?” I asked them as I looked up at them waiting, they handled whatever they were talking about. I don’t listen to words, I listen to actions and everything around me. I don’t want to be caught off guard so I never let down my guard. No matter what.
“Alright, there's a building in the middle of these lands. Keep heading east and you’ll find it easily. As soon as you get in go up the stairs, in the middle of the room there should be some boxes and things of interest. Gather as much as you can carry and bring it here.” He had a map, this was pretty good. Actually helpful items and words, I’d say I spoke too soon but I know I haven’t. Soon we went off and continued on our way, running towards the building as Adam ran off alone. I’d rather be in his shoes, alone and working on my own escape. But I guess shields will do just fine.
“Alright once inside I’ll patch your arm up okay? We’ll-
“Wait!!” In that moment a wire was tripped by the clutz of a nurse and then the doors behind us slammed closed, alarms blaring and screaming out, but the disciplined between us three heard it. The alarms were the least of our worries, they were trying to hide what was clearly here with us. We heard a roar and grunts of anger from the building, they froze up but I didn’t. We had a plan and I was going to follow it. So I ran and rushed towards the nearest steps, I heard their feet behind me, she kept calling me but I ignored it. I ran as fast as I could, clearing the stairs quickly and running down the halls. I turned corner after corner looking for a door to lead directly to the midsection of this place.
