The floor was slowly flooding. It doesn’t make much sense, there were too many factors to build in that didn’t make sense on the surface. This game never allowed two attackers, it was always focused on us being a majority and the creatures destroying us. Harming and killing us in the end, no matter how hard we’ve tried things always went the way of these monsters and this time looks no different.

Being chased down by a creature of unconfirmed prowess, the rush isn't unwelcomed nor is it desired. This woman is an odd one, chasing me down in this manner isn’t something many of them do. She should be able to catch me but-

“...” She’s not a hunter.
“....” She’s not a victim… Something isn’t quite right with this entire thing.
“Hmmmm.. Hmmmm.” As expected, she’s not like the rest of them. Unlike them I can’t see a semblance of killer in her eyes, this helps and works to my advantage. She isn’t attacking me, which is what I want. Few people attack children, it’s a special kind of crazy you have to be to harm a child… Doesn’t mean the child won’t harm you given the chance. I’m thankful though. This means she’ll either help me or just flat out ignore me, I continue to try and stabilize my breathing while we look at one another. Running through water is hard when it’s nearly up to your knees, I can’t let this chance go to waste.
She’s… asking me to follow her?? To figure she’d want my aid, I guess it is fair… Some things these poor souls can’t do on their own. Following behind this little one reminds me so much of how I wish I had someone strong beside that fateful day, maybe I would’ve been able to do much more for them than I have now. Following her I could see she was struggling to walk through the water I'd created, so I gently offered her a seat on my shoulder. Now she pointed me in the direction of one of the metal shutters, she wanted to escape… I understood her desire all too well. Though I can’t aid her much, not in this aspect. If I break it it’ll hurt me, I’ll be hurt for helping… Wait.

Whoa! What is she doing?! Sh- I hear footsteps, is she bringing me back to the others. That creature is with them… I’m not a risk taker but when trapped you have to adapt and this is part of that. Turning the corner I saw them both then I heard whistling, I only heard her because I was close. “Lari!” Hm? Oh right, the klutzy doctor nurse lady.
“Hm.” I waved at her, I’m still angered that we’re in this situation because of her lack of awareness and forward thinking. Though this is an oddity, this box headed creature and the woman are conversing with one another. Grunts and her whistling in the entirety of the conversation which hid whatever it is they could be talking about from us, often I’d be afraid but I read the language of the body very well. What one part can’t or won’t betray, the rest of it will easily. The man was hostile but he refused to follow that nature towards this one, is this how they all treat her? Perfect if that is indeed the case, a game changer indeed.

“Hrmmmm…” The beast didn’t seem happy about this at all, he seemed like he was very focused on doing what was intended of him. Eliminating us but she pacified him somehow, he wasn’t going to hurt us. That is the belief we were supposed to go by and if that was the case then we were going to milk this. Pointing to the stairs I motioned the lady to take us up and she took me up to the room, now what do we have?
“Tools, wires, and supplies? Psh… If anyone but Adam asked for that I’d use some of these to beat them with.” The Merc picked up the box and looked at the creatures with us, we aren’t all agreeing with the team up. It seems that no matter what we know, this game can change constantly- Did someone shout?
