“Well, you are their king…and they have been through a lot in the past, so you should gladly answer their requests” Void spoke as he walked to the window to join Alex in looking at the floating islands.
Alex shrugged and turned to look at the ceiling as Void looked down at the plaza which was slowly filling, “I shouldn't have taken my place as king so fast, it's stressing me out.” he said, Void scowled.
“Alex…i understand it's stressful but saying things like that…it's almost saying you as a person are indifferent” he said, Alex flinched and turned to Void.
“Indifferent? I'm not a sociopath Void.” he snapped, Void’s feathers fluffed gently and he shrugged.
“I'm just telling you what your people would say if you said that to them, I'm not trying to be an asshole.” Void retorted, Alex frowned and shook his head before walking over to the washroom's exit.
“I’ll be up there waiting.” he said walking out, Void sighed his feathers fluffing up as he let out a small growl.

Alex stood on the platform and waited for Void, he watched as people laughed and smiled and chatted excitedly in the plaza. They were just as happy as his people when he appeared…maybe Void was right.
“Ah! Sora! You made it!” Void’s voice snapped Alex to attention and he looked over to see him hug someone wearing a cropped shirt and trousers with extravagant jewelry.
Void grinned talking to the male and Alex frowned at the man, he was about Void’s height with dusty blonde hair and striking gold eyes. He laughed as the sun glinted off his dark skin, his laugh sounded like liquid gold. Alex scoffed and rolled his eyes, as he fidgeted with his trident and mumbled to himself Void and so-called Sora walked up to him.
“Alex…this is Sora. he’s a newer king I met while searching for this place” Void said, Alex sighed and looked at the man.
“It’s nice to meet you” Alex grimaced, Sora grinned and held out a hand for him to shake. Alex stared at it before looking away uncomfortably.
Sora stared confused and took his place next to Void, “so…you're the king of Oceannia…right? Words gone crazy that you’ve been working wonders for them. Are you higher than a divine?” he asked, Alex exhaled an annoyed breath before shrugging,
“And if i was higher than a divine?” he said roughly, Sora stared at him repulsed.
“Alex.” Void hissed quietly, Alex rolled his eyes and looked away.
Sora sighed “well…i'm a divine so i guess if you were i would have mad respect for you” He said with a small smile, Alex looked at him moved before looking away and frowning.
“ a divine huh? And what can you do…conjure gold?” he mocked, Sora glared at him and Void stared at Alex with piercing eyes, his wings fluffing up.
“No…I can conjure fire.” Sora snapped, Void kicked Sora in the shin and he rolled his eyes before moving closer to Void.
“He’s your friend?” Sora whispered judgmently. Alex scowled his scales prickling up, He gripped his trident tightly and water caressed his feet before disappearing. Void frowned and shook his head at both of them before Sora stepped up to speak.
Alex avoided looking in Sora’s direction and stared at the sky, Void looked at Alex for a moment before turning his attention back to Sora who spoke highly of Void and laughed and told jokes.
Alex zoned out and stared at a lone island with a tall twisty and gorgeous home on top of it, Void glanced back at him and frowned.
A figure danced across the back of the crowd catching Alex’s attention and he raised an eyebrow watching as a dark skinned, black haired male in all white and gold with a pointed hat atop his head watched Void. The man’s eyes were disguised by the brim of the hat and his elvish ears twitched with every word that left Sora’s mouth.
Something about the man was familiar, “well, i wouldn't want to take up Alex’s time to speak so i’ll finish it here…Void, i have high hopes for you as a king” he said locking eyes with Alex a smug look on his face, Alex’s eye twitched and he snarled before turning and storming off the stage. His bare feet hit the stone and the water around him frosted before vaporizing as he left.
Void’s eyes widened in horror before narrowing with anger as Sora stared at him, his nose in the air, Void glared at Sora as Alex turned, shot Void a look and dove off the edge of the island.
“Well…i guess that gives this process a step in the right direction am i right?” Sora teased, Void sighed and shook his head,

Alex sat silently on a rock above the water and poked the surface with his toe, the water rippled and frosted before returning to normal. He sighed and set his trident to the side as he leaned back and looked at the stars.
Something splashed and when he looked up the Lilac haired male perched himself up on the rock, his hair short yet wavy, he smiled and rested his head in his arms.
Alex sat up quickly “you- “ he stopped and looked away blush threatening his cheeks. “Did you need something?” he asked, the male smiled and shook his head.
“You looked down…” the man spoke, causing a shiver to run down Alex’s spine, his voice was smooth like ice and handsome. Alex looked him in the eyes, almost being devoured by the sacramento green in his eyes.
“I’m fine…” he lied, the man frowned and pulled himself up on the rock next to Alex.
“You're not. I can feel it…” he said, Alex shook his head.
“Why do you even care?” he asked, the man frowned.
“You do so much for us, as a citizen…i feel guilty for wearing you out so much” He said, Alex sighed and pulled his knees to his chest and hid his face in them.
“Is it..stressful? Helping us constantly?”
Alex didn't answer and stared down at the water between his legs, The man frowned.
“It can be…i've just been…i don't know- out of it lately. I haven't been able to fully process what's going on or even try to understand what this world went through” Alex spoke softly, the male nodded sympathetically before resting a hand on Alex’s shoulder.
“Maybe…you should set some of the kingdom's problems aside and go on an adventure…to cool off” he said, Alex sat up and chuckled lightly.
“I dont think a kingdom would let their king do that” he said, the guy shrugged.
“They might…” he said, Alex looked at him and sighed before smiling gently.
“Thanks”
The guy smiled “of course…”
Alex looked up at a mountain for a bit before dipping his legs in the water and kicking them back and forth playfully.
“I’m Dove by the way” he said, fixing the hem of his pants and a small ankle bracelet dangled around his ankle, Alex smiled.
“Alexander…you can call me Alex though” he said with a shy smile,
