Alex laughed at Void's reaction as he stood there stunned. "I want you to be there… " he said, Void frowned.
"Alex, of course I'll go… but. Why?"
Alex cocked an eyebrow "what do you mean?" He said, Void sighed.
"I mean do you love this person?" He asked, Alex shrugged.
"I guess"
Void frowned, not convinced.
"What do you mean, I guess?"
Alex shifted uncomfortably. He never liked this topic.
"I mean, it's for the kingdom. So I can get my spot back, two powerful people is better than one. I mean I do love Layla, she's
amazing but… I don't know" he trailed off.
Void sat down on the windowsill, his wings cradling him almost.
"Do you want to marry her?" void asked, Alex scoffed.

Alex scowled "I love her, but I don't want to marry her. I only want to be her friend." He said, Void's brows drew together the wheels in his head turning.
"So, you're using her?"
Alex groaned "you make me sound toxic. But no… I don't have a choice" he said, Void nodded slowly.
"You've lost me"
Alex sighed and sat next to him, "Void… I've been meaning to tell you this- but, I don't exactly like women. I mean I do, they're wonderful people but not… "
He trailed off.
"Romantically?" Void questioned, Alex nodded avoiding eye contact.
Void sighed with a small chuckle.
"If you were thinking I was going to scold you, I'm not. I'm your friend and support you no matter what, as for the wedding though I understand why you don't want it. But can I suggest something?" He queried.
Alex looked him in the eyes with a nod.
Void stared at him with a stern look.
"Call it off"
"Sorry?"
Alex stared confused and Void smirked. "Call the wedding off. Besides we're about to kill a man and this place is inhabitable without people dying every 5 seconds so just call it off. That and you're only 17." He said, Alex blinked.
"Good point"
Void smiled.
Alex smiled to himself realizing how much of a big brother figure void actually was to him, it was almost comforting.
"We should probably head out soon before Florian kicks us out" Void chuckled, Alex grinned.
"Eh, we could just stay and annoy him" he suggested, Void rolled his eyes.
"Yes, well I'm pretty sure he'd exile us if we did" void responded.
Alex shrugged and hopped up.
"Let's get going brother" he said, Void chuckled and stood.
"Right, let's face death in the eyes"
"Why the eyes? We could just chop off his dick"
"Alex-"
"What?? "
