"VOID" Alex yelled bursting into Void's room, Dove in his arms. Void looked up quickly in shock.
"Alex? What- oh my god-"
Void stood rushing over to him as Alex laid Dove on the bed, "his-his pulse is slowing and he was coughing up blood...and i-...he can't die on me" Alex sobbed tears streaming from his eyes, Void stared and rushed to grab a couple of things before returning.
"Stand back"
Alex nodded and Void let his wings stretch out behind him as he raised his hands to Dove letting them hover. Dove coughed violently and Alex flinched as Void began to speak in Toungues, his hands glowed gently and Dove started to convulse. Alex stared in horror and Void let his hands drop.
"Alex...i can't save him...whatever he contracted can't be fixed." He said avoiding Alex's gaze, Alex gasped and covered his mouth.
"I'm gonna be sick"
Void looked away as Alex vomited in his trash can, Void cringed.
"It may be best to...end it for him…" Void finished, Alex froze and looked towards Dove.
"You mean kill him…?"
Void nodded and Alex's eyes narrowed "no. No way...I love him too much, I can't kill him…"
"So you'd rather watch him suffer?"
"But what if he recovers?!" Alex raised his voice, Void stared before scowling.
"Alex. He's not going to recover. "
Alex started to tremble and he clenched his fist, "I can't. I can't lose another…" he said roughly, Void frowned.
"I know it's hard-"
Alex growled "WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT LOSING PEOPLE YOU LOVE?! LAST I CHECKED YOU LIVED SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU DIDN'T HAVE WARS OR FOUGHT FOR A SPOT AT THE TOP OF A HIERARCHY." Alex yelled, Void's wings snapped out and his feathers fluffed up casting a shadow on the room.
"What do I know….? I LOST EVERYONE I LOVED BACK ON NEPTUNE. I WATCHED MY HOME BURN TO THE GROUND, I WATCHED MY LOVED ONES SCREAM FOR HELP AND REACH TOWARDS ME WITH CHARRED HANDS BECAUSE I FOR SOME REASON COULDN'T BE BURNED. " He screamed, tears threatened his eyes and Alex stared horrified.
"Void- I...i didn't-"
"You're in my world now, Alex. Not yours. Either take him somewhere else and let him suffer or kill him off so he doesn't have to go through that. I don't care what you do, but when you leave I expect you never to return here...ever. again." He growled before he shot towards the window only to run into it, he yelled out in anger and wrapped his wings around him shattering the glass as he flew away.
Alex stood there in shock and Dove groaned. "Alex…" he mumbled in his sleep, Alex stared down at the floor before looking at his hands where a sword had materialized. His face went blank and he walked over to Dove kissing his lips gently.
"I love you…" he whispered before slipping his hands underneath him, he picked him up and walked away.
As he left he spotted Void watching from another island, his wings shielding him as if he were about to jump.
Void spotted him and Alex looked away, he tapped the Hilt of his Trident against the ground and a horse of water appeared and he hopped on Dove laying across his lap.
"Home."

Alex sat in silence for the next few days locked in his room as Dove lay in his bed, Alex stared at him in silence trying to think of a way to help him.
Dove had just been freed from stone and after their happy get away for a week he got sick...he couldn't die. Not now. He still had so much to do in life.
Alex stared blankly, he could feel his emotions slipping away slowly like he was losing them in all entirety.
He didn't want to kill him. Layla sat next to him away from Dove so as to not catch what he had and hugged on Alex's sleeve "will brother be okay? " she asked, Alex plastered on a fake smile.
"He'll be okay" he lied, she nodded with a smile and Alex sighed "you should go eat" he said, she nodded and ran to the door before stopping.
"Alex…" she said quietly, he looked at her, his dark eyes pale and dull. "Do you want any food?" She asked, he shook his head.
"No, thank you"

Alex sat in silence, he hadn't moved for days…His hair had grown longer and darker and his eyes became paler, he shivered and itched his scales knowing he should go out into the water to rehabilitate himself.
But he couldn't. He had to make sure Dove would be okay, Layla had been ordered to not bother him so it was quiet and lonely and overall dark.
The room was stifled with dark energy and sick, he stared at the ceiling as images of all the ways people could die flashed across his mind.
He knew it wasn't healthy but he didn't want Dove to be alone.

A few days later the room became filled with a stench almost like death. Alex stood weakly and made his way to Dove whose skin was almost gray, his eyes slack and open.
Alex knew he was gone…But he couldn't find the feelings to feel sad or hurt, he just stared at Dove before ringing his room bell.
A few minutes later a maid came in and gasped, Alex stood there in silence as two guards dragged Dove out, his body covered in the blanket that was originally on his bed sheets.
A few days later Dove was buried on the shore with a small yet beautiful gravestone to decorate it. Flowers and seaweed and coral were placed about it and people cried and prayed to a god they knew didn't exist.
Alex stayed behind, his lips sealed as they sang and chanted solemnly.
His black hair had grown out and only tips of dark blue remained in his hair, he bit his lip and walked away from the funeral. He walked slowly through the forest, bees buzzed around flowers, rabbits hopped about stopping occasionally to watch Alex walk by.
A jingle sound caught his attention and he looked up to see someone walking by, he wore a white pointed hat where the brim hung low enough to hide his eyes, his robe was white with gold accents and he held a staff of gold and rings jingled above it.
Animals followed him as he whistled a small tune, He froze when he spotted Alex.
Alex stared before turning away and hanging his head as he walked. That's when he realized it, he couldn't remember what had happened the past month… he couldn't even recognize the man he saw at Void's coronation.
The jingling came closer just as Alex's eyes fluttered shut and he fell to the ground with a thud.
