Emma rushed into the classroom barely making it on time, "Right on the dot Emma," said Conner with a grin.
Emma chuckled, "Haha very funny Conner."
Jess chuckled, "What are you laughing at?" Emma asked smiling.
"How can you live across the street from the school and still be almost a minute late?"
Emma sighed, "I tell you when I figure it out."
The teacher came into the classroom and started the lesson. Emma listened close as she talked about Paris and how it had it's part in World War II. Her father loved being a solider, she remembered the picture she kept in her room of the her parents. They were both in Uniform at an award ceremony or something, she always loved that her parents fell in love with each other doing something they loved.
Well, her father also loved playing the guitar, he even wrote songs with Emma. Emma sung the songs and her father wrote and played, and sometimes he would sing with Emma.
She smiled at the thought of playing guitar with him, he loved God and his family God have him. Her mind traveled to the last time they played the guitar, the day before he deployed.
Emma's father, Jonathon Blanchett, strummed the last chords to the song he wrote. His laugh came deep from his chest and rose up to his voice, "I love you so much Emily, and I will miss this that angel's voice God gave you."
Emma smiled, "Thanks daddy."
Her father's smile faded, "Emma I need you to know something before something happens to me okay?"
Emma was confused, "Nothing's gonna happen to you daddy."
He shook is head, "Baby girl you don't know that," he sighed, "you know the psalms verse about being created in the womb?"
Emma nodded, her dad continued, "Well it says that Jesus knew you before you were born and who you were going to be, well I think that he was with God talking about what you were gonna grow up to be."
"Because we might think that we know what we are gonna do but God has the true plan for us."
"I know all of that dad, that is one my favorite verses."
He smiled, "I'm glad, but you really need to hear this part, Emma when you were baptized, you gave your heart to God and Jesus but it's not a onetime thing. You have to choose God everyday when your making choices and when you are in pain don't be angry. Come to God and he will make things better. Even when you don't feel him, he is there weeping with you when you're crying," He said, he eyes almost pleading with her to understand.
"Emma the Lord will never leave you Emma, even when you don't feel him, he will always be there you understand me."
Emma smiled sweetly, "Yeah, I understand."
He set the guitar down and hugged her, "Don't ever stop being the person God made you to be." He whispered.
Was it hard trying not to change in a world that wanted you to change? Actually yes, it was when I moved it got really hard.
