Chapter VII: The Trip to Kyoto
Back in December before Christmas, the class adviser tells them that they will be having a field trip to Kyoto in February. All students cheer and the teacher calms them down. At the Mizushiro house, Kota texts her again about the trip. Akiko then tells him that it's like she wants to sit beside him although, she is a heavy sleeper and might hug him while she's asleep. Kota feels flattered on what she had said. This event took place before the first misunderstanding happened in which the connection may have lowered both of each frequencies.
The month of February comes, and it is early as 4:00 of dawn for the students to arrive at the school and the class rep also monitors each students' attendance and all the requirements they needed on the trip. Kota remembers what Akiko said to him back then and as he approaches Akiko, Hanako is already sitting beside her. Thankfully, Haru will be seating beside him. Many sights are viewed on the bus and while travelling, most students are listening to music while the others are sleeping. Haru and Kota are one of the students listening to music as well as Masashi and Asahi. After a few hours of travelling, some can't control themselves of getting sick and gladly the school have paper bags in case of students or teachers having nausea on a trip.
They get off and their first stop is the strawberry farm. There, they need to observe the strawberries that grows there due to its climate. At one point, Kota forgets something on the bus so he rushes to the bus. However, when he comes back, nobody is there, but he finds Asahi and apparently learns that the others went down. The two are stuck on the parking area and while waiting, Kota goes to the souvenir shop and bought two separate keychains with the letters, K and A. After a while, the class posted a group photo in which they aren't included. The others go to the bus and their next stop is a sanctuary which also involve some scientific principles. While on the bus, Kota then gives it to Akiko, and she awkwardly accepts it.
At the sanctuary, they gather information while others are taking pictures. The tour is over and another group picture is being taken again. Kota needs to get his phone too on the bus and Haru is back there. The students position themselves and as Kota is going for the picture, Haru didn't let him go, although it is already over. Their next stop is to go shopping at the mall.
The Brotubers are one group but however, split up due to some different locations of the stalls and their likes. Haru and Kota are together and they go exploring the mall. At some point, they bump into Akiko and Hanako in front of the computer section where Masashi is checking the latest tech inside. The atmosphere turns awkwardly but Kota just greets them and also the same goes for Haru. Walking to the escalator, they bump into Enmei and the latter joins them. He tells Kota that he is looking for Hanako since he found something that she always wanted. Kota tells him that Hanako is with Akiko, Going up on the escalator, they see Akiko going down, but Hanako is not with her. Enmei and Kota catches up with her and Enmei asks her where is Hanako. Akiko points to the coffee shop to the left and Enmei rushes there. Akiko is now with Kota and they chat about school and says sorry if the promise isn't kept right but Kota says that it's okay.
At the lobby of the mall, sweets are being sold and Akiko buys something there although she has a sweet personality, it turns out that she also has a sweet tooth. Asahi then comes up and Kota joins him. Looking at a lonely Akiko, they decided to take her to Hanako. After a while, Haru also joins the two and are going back to the bus. The other students are also there and the others are looking for the others since it is time to go. On the bus, the students are still doing what they were doing before they went to Kyoto. After hours of travelling, the students got back and went home thereafter.
