Chapter XV: Going Out
A year passes and the quarantine is slowly lifting. Another school year starts and it's modular and online learning. Since they are on break, Asahi suggest a hangout to Kota, Akiko, Masashi, Hanako, Enmei, and Haru. Sadly, Haru can't come since his parents won't let him out of the house while Kota can't be reached but the others can come.
On their way to the bookstore, Akiko is curious about Kota. Asahi tells them that he can't be reached and it's been a long time since they communicated. The last time they communicated was between August and September. Masashi is also worried about him also with Enmei. Asahi also suggest that Kota might have the virus however, they scolded him in thinking this is a joke. Enmei brings up about the release of the movie, My Sister is a Demon: Off the Tracks. Akiko says that it was just released last year's October. Surprised, Enmei tells them that he'd watched it although actually he is still going to watch it on his phone. But as soon as Akiko brings up some events from the movie, he tries to stop her although she only read the manga and same goes with Asahi. At the bookstore (same one Kota and she went to), they see the manga for Avenge of the Titan which reminds them about Season 4 which is still airing.
After going out of the bookstore, Masashi and Asahi urges them to go the tech shop to look for some upgrade on their gaming equipment. Asahi buys an RGB keyboard which includes a mouse as well. They asks him about this and he tells them that his keyboard is really malfunctioning and he needs the mouse for his mouse collection. In the corner, Masashi tries to look for a good equipment for his computer. He tells him that he still needs some pieces to advance his PC. Enmei also tries to pick but when he looks at his wallet, he is down broke. He then tells himself that he'll just wait for his uncle to give him a gaming laptop since he still has no money. Akiko tells them that her computer has a virus and she needs to install an anti-virus. Masashi and Asahi tells her that it will be no problem, they will do it. Going back to their houses, Akiko thinks how Kota is doing right now but however, she also doesn't have the courage to text her.
Meanwhile, in a dark room, Asahi speaks with someone about his sudden visit. Surprised, the dark silhouette of a man draws closer to Asahi and thanks him for the keyboard and the mouse. Asahi persuades him to give back the mouse for his mouse collection as a joke but in the end he feels pity for him not having a good gaming mouse. When Asahi opens the door, the dark silhouette thanks him for visiting and Asahi leaves. The dark athletic-built figure goes back to his computer, showing the group chat of Asahi and the others. He then brings out his drawing pad and draws a character from My Sister is a Demon. In the corner of the room, the class picture is pinned to the wall.
