"PYXIS!!!"
"LORD PYXIS!!!"
"MASTER PYXIS!!!"
"WE LOVE YOU PYXIS!!!"
"MARRY ME PYXIS!!!"
"PLEASE SEE ME AGAIN SOON LORD PYXIS!!"
"ME NEXT PYXIS!!!" Pyxis stopped and froze in place at the swarm of people cheering his name and praises. They all turned to look at him... He was a deer in headlights. Due to his level his admiring angelic fans didn't touch him but instead just floated around him and happily swarming him, Pyxis fights as much as he can to try and walk without bumping into anything.
"Geez.. They don't ease up. At this rate Phoenix is gonna banish me. Ladies ladies! We are in a hurry, part please!" With merely his word the sea of people parted for him.166Please respect copyright.PENANA605kaOEsik
“I know you all want to spend time with me but I have important business right now, please watch out.” Stepping past the people, Pyxis would walk off towards a large building. Entering it Pyxis would walk over to a large door and whistle as it started to open with a loud creak. Stepping inside the interior resembled that of a grand church, within the middle sat a glowing light with symbols of various constellations and multiple lights. Beneath him was the cosmos, the universe itself beneath his feet. Standing there he’d walk towards the light taking a deep breath and stepping in. Upon opening his eyes he was hit with a beam of light that caused his eyes to tingle. Looking around he saw the planets, the earth, and all around it. However, that wasn’t the most important piece. Standing a few feet from where he was, was a being composed of pure fire. Holy Fire to be specific. He stood there with his flaming sword. He stood there silent, steadfast, and strong.
“Ooooh boy." Pyxis starts walking over to the being as it begins to open its eyes looking down at him…166Please respect copyright.PENANAdk2bFMuI9B
“Uriel Phoenix, is the big man mad at me?” Phoenix didn’t move but his gaze sears through Pyxis’s very essence and then a loud mystical voice was heard within the void.
"Pyxis, you were attacked by mortals and damaged. You, a virtue, fell victim to injury by those beneath us. Something that shouldn’t be possible, explain."
“It’s the same thing I told the boss, he was much stronger than I’d anticipated. I won’t lie and say I had any intention to kill him but even with that being the case I could’ve and should’ve been able to destroy him but I wasn’t. It was as if everything I intended to do for him was destroyed by his own might, I feel I was overpowered.”
“To speak such of yourself knowing that equals either banishment or erasure is bold, what is it you are getting at?”
“That this whole virtue toss isn’t the wave, we need to work with those down there in the world. They’ve lived this all, they’ve seen and-”
“And you think God has not seen it all? He is the one above all, his word is the word of absolution and his plan must be followed. Least we take the alternative manner of handling this.”
“Seeing it from above the ground and experiencing everything first hand is completely different, Uriel. You know this better than anyone, you were like us once. You-”
“Yes. Once. I am above all of you as you are them, we can’t have them interfere with us. If we do it’ll mean the end of all we sought for. You know what happens if we don’t handle this in the manner we are. Don’t you? Do you really want that over the simplistic option of cleaning out the loud ones to save everyone.”
“....Yeah I hear ya, I guess I’m just getting too emotional.”
“It’s who you are, however you’ll be able to blow off steam. Beelzebub was spotted near the shrines and in the area, was the energy of Sozo. Handle that and you will be forgiven.” Pyxis nodded and knelt down, his head low and his eyes closed. He heard a loud whooshing sound before he heard the sounds of crickets and then the sound of demons. Standing up he took a deep breath before his gaze sharpened, rage seething behind his cold eyes. The first imp that jumped at him exploded, he simply waved his hand and left a splatter of blood on the wall and a dent in it where it’s body would’ve been. The rest began to run but after a few flashes of light only he stepped out of the cave, with not a single demon following behind him. Pyxis would step out walking through the forest huffing, jumping into the sky he’d land in a tree and start his rush towards the shrine. Each movement left behind bodies of demons, it wasn’t part of what he was to do. He was to do his job and be done with it… But how could he just follow that? He brings hope and this is just another way he does that.
He landed down on the ground and began coughing, jumping back he looked around before leaping into the sky and bearing his wings. He saw some sort of hole in the forest, a deep one. It was oozing Miasma in large quantities, the vast amount causing him to gag and float away from it feeling nauseous.166Please respect copyright.PENANARdFDYqoXdB
“What unholy thing is that?”
“An opening, to the end of everything.” Pyxis heard a voice and turned, looking behind him he’d see a figure floating and completely cloaked head to toe in black. A hood over his head and gold lining his cloak.
“Beelzebub.” A flash of red came from underneath the hood before the beautiful face of the swarthy skinned demon was shown, looking towards Pyxis grinning for a moment.
“You mean God.”
“A joke of poor taste.” In an instant Pyxis dodged out of the way of a metallic flash, a metallic wing came from Beelzebub’s back in an attempt to sneak and impale Pyxis.
“You won’t think that when I dangle you above the gate by your entrails.”
“I’d fear that threat if I was feeling like myself but right now I’m pissed off and I’m in the mood to hurt ANYBODY. Especially you.” The New God stood against The Virtue Of Hope. Two paragons of power preparing themselves to battle under the moonlight
