It was like any other Saturday morning. Jessica and I would go out for our coffee,then decide to do some shopping for food or clothes. Well, around 8 o'clock she texted me saying that she was not gonna be able to go shopping,but a quick coffee would be nice. So I grabbed my keys and purse and headed out the door. When I arrived Jessica was already outside waiting for my arrival. I got to the door and she gave me this weird nod that threw me off, she usually gives me a hug and starts babbling about something that happened at school,since we didn't attend the same school.I shook it off and decides it was my turn to talk about something. So I talked to her about basketball tryouts for the team and she just kept nodding her head to show she was listening . We both ordered then Jessica finally spoke up and told me she better run. I honestly was pretty upset at her leaving but never quite understood why.So I said cool and she left.
On my way home, I spotted this big festival like thing that looked new so I decided to check it out. I pulled up and I saw the exact car Jessica had but I just assumed well, someone just has the same one. I walked to stand in line and to my shock I see Jessica laughing and playfully slapping another girl. Oh I almost lost it but I told myself no and decided to watch. This other girl was tall,long brown hair and really cute jeans and sweatshirt. Jessica and this girl got their tickets and ran to the bathrooms before they continued. I finally got up to the ticket booth as they left the bathroom, and bought a ticket. I followed them to multiple rides and ended up riding some of them.
It was midnight and I was exhausted from "spying" and decided it was time to turn in, but Jessica and her new friend didnt. They went on another ride that was the the "Extraordinary loopdeloop." Now this was a ride that I despised so I decided to stay on the ground. Right before the ride started the control person yelled to everyone if they were ready and they were. The ride started slow but looped faster and faster till a death scream filled air. People from around gathered to see the comotion. The ride stopped and you hear a loud cry. The control guy talks on his walkie talkie for backup. Police officers escort people off the ride and I look through the crowd but I didn't see Jessica. My heart was beating as I panicked in fear. That girl she was with finally came of the ride, but what struck me was blood on her hands and tears in her eyes. Reality had just kicked in and I didn't want to believe it. The girl kept saying over and over again, I just met her and we went on this ride together and next thing you knew something came down and stabbed her. I couldn't comprehend what I just heard. My best friend was gone forever.
A week passed by and Jessica's funeral was taking place. Many people that loved and cared for her gathered and morned the loss even that girl. After the main funeral the food and desert took place at my house,but was surprising was a police officer asking where Miranda was. I had no idea but I heard this voice say yes and I turned around and it was that girl. The police went up to her and said you have the right to remain silent. She didn't run she just stood there and was handcuffed. I was shocked and had no idea what was happening. The police asked me to attand court so I did.
It was Saturday the day I would have coffee and go shopping but instead I was attending court for a reason I had no idea about. Miranda showed up in the room in an orange jumpsuit. The judge told her to sit and he said out of his mouth, you know what you did was wrong, killing an innocent girl is beyond ruthless. I was in horror and I was looking at the girl who murdered my best friend ,my coffee mate. So know I am on my roof still trying to comprehend the event that took place. I keep thinking to myself...Why her?
