I woke up when I heard Bill and Tad's door open, I sat up and rubbed my eyes to see who it was, the digital clock read 7:30. Bill pulled out the table and set it for breakfast.
"What are you doing?" I asked, lighting the candles.
"Sorry, I'm used to getting up early." He smiled, that's when I realized I didn't know what he did.
"Was it for your job or something?" I continued, getting out of my nice, warm bed and started the old stove.
"I worked with the traveling fair, for my powers." Bill started, giggling at my shock.
"I-I n-never thought y-you knew." I stammered, turning to look at him.
"Yeah, guess it was just fate my trailer broke and I was stuck here, huh?" he laughed, I don't think he realized how true that statment was. I made us some eggs and bacon, the cut up some fruit. Tad came out a while later fully groomed in his clothes from yesterday.
"Wow." Bill said, mid-chew.
"Thanks." he responded, sitting at the end of the table, I give him a patient smile, but he just looked down at his plate.
"If you guys want, you can go get some of your stuff before we leave." I said, cleaning up after his plate.
"Got it!" Bill said, scurrying up the ladder and slamming the hatch behind him.
"I don't have anything, just a couple quarters for the gas station showers." he murmured, looking at the ground.
"Now that won't do for a king." I smiled, surrounding him with red magic, as I weaved him a few pairs of blue jeans, a blue vest, some white shirts, and a pair of black sneakers.
"Better?" I ask as the red magic dictates. He nods excitedly and rushes to put them on. I let out a small laugh as he slams the door closed, it reminded me of when we were kids again. How I missed his energy. I started to pack a duffel bag with some things I'll need, cosmetics and most of my clothes. Tad came out of the door a while later in some blue jeans, white color shirt and his blue vest. He even donned the shoes!
"Thank you!" He said, running to give me a hug. I jumped at his sudden actions, it was just 30 minutes ago he wanted nothing to do with me.
"No problem." I laugh, hugging him back. Bill climbed down after we broke apart.
"Sorry, I got a little lost in the woods." He said with a chuckle.
"It's ok, you guys ready?" I ask, grabbing the duffel bag and climbing up the ladder, Tad and Bill following behind me. We come out and I squint my eyes at the bright light.
"How do we get to this place?" Tad asked, following me deeper into the woods. There is a big mass under a tarp, the same color as the trees around us. I bet they wouldn't have seen it if I didn't take the tarp off.
"Here we are." I said, opening up the glass windshield to a spherical pod. It had was made entirely out of glass and it seemed to float a few inches above the ground. They nod reluctantly. I climb into the bubble-like pod and sit down in the front, and as soon as I did, the entire pod changed. It had a solid metal interior with plenty buttons, most of which dad taught me. I laughed as Tad and Bill stared at me in awe. It must have looked like I was sitting on air, that would explain their faces.
"You kids catching flies, or are you gonna come in?" I asked, snapping them out of their trance. They nod reluctantly and scramble into the small pod, squeezing into the back seat. I close the door in front of me and shut the seal.
"Buckle up." I yell over the roaring engine. Tad hurried to do the same, strapping the one belt over him and Bill. I strap my own on and punch in the coordinates for Fate's kingdom. After I put the invisibility coordinates shields on, we fly upward almost instantly.
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Tad and Bill scream, clinging onto the seats.
"Shut up! I can't concentrate!" I yell back to them, pushing the brake to stop us from going into space. I open the window panel and look around, sighing with relief that I remembered how to fly this thing. We were in an ocean of clouds, its fluffy waves rolling around the ship as the wind carried them off. I look back and my now red eyes met with the yellow and blue ones of my brothers, their faces as pale as the clouds.
"Welcome home." said with a small smile.
"Sal, this is amazing." Tad whispered, looking around.
"Were's dad?" Bill asked, I winked at him and went forward full throttle. I went top speed for a while until I came up to a huge castle. I slowed down and gasped at the sight, it was all destroyed. The entire place was in rubble, cobble stone scattered about, the beautiful blue and yellow flags torn to shreds. I parked on a nearby cloud and turned the control panel back on. I unbuckle my belt and slump down in my seat.683Please respect copyright.PENANAL4BihnzQB9
"I have a feeling it's not supposed to be like this." Bill stated.
