Things were much different now, though.
His joyful spirit was now gone… cast away by the pure who wished to corrupt him to perfection.
But I thought he was still beautiful… he would always be my prince… my master.
I knelt by the couch as Lucifer and North got a meal together in the kitchen.
“Luca,” I whispered, brushing his bangs away from his forehead as he whimpered. “Are you alright?”
He just struggled to keep his eyes open. “Ma…mas…ter.”
I stared at him for a moment, but a smile curled my lips. “That’s right, you are my master.”
He remembers now.
“Mo…mmy,” he struggled to get out.
Lucifer glanced in our direction, eyes widening.
She just lightly bumped North’s shoulder and nodded in our direction.
I stood then, lowering my head as I clasped my hands in front of me, letting them pass gently.
Lucifer and North just rushed over and knelt beside Luca.
“Good morning, sunshine,” North said then, smirking as he gazed down at Luca.
“How are you feeling?” Lucifer said.
Luca just watched them lazily. “I… I remember….”
“Yes,” Lucifer said then, “the angels put a memory block on you. I just removed it, alright?”
Luca then gazed up at me, eyes shimmering in uncertainty.
I just sent him a small smile.
“Dante,” North said then, standing while gazing up at me. “You need to take him home. He’s in danger around us.”
Lucifer stood with him. “Yes. I don’t want him getting hurt more than he already did.”
She just lightly touched the bandages on his eye.
Yes, I told them about it. And yes, they were fine with the demon’s kiss… and the contract… and everything. They were fine with it.
I bowed before them then, my servant gestures all flooding back to me. “Yes, my Queen.”
She and North stood when I stepped over to Luca, and I just gently caught his arm as he whimpered at the feeling.
“It’s alright,” I said then. “You can sleep while we make our way back, okay?”
I lifted him then, letting him wrap his arm around my neck as I scooped him up.
I then started to the front door, slipping on my shoes while carrying him.
After I finished, I turned back to his parents and bowed slightly, closing my eyes.
I then stepped out of the house, letting the door close behind me as I walked down the porch steps.
When I gazed down at Luca who was now in my jacket again, he was sound asleep, head resting on my shoulder.
I just smiled. “Now that you got your memories back, I can’t get away with calling you your real name, now can I?”
He just breathed softly. “D…a…nt…e.”
I smiled a little, knowing he was still asleep. “Let’s get back to my apartment and pack up our things. I shall take us someplace new tonight.”
