“Danteeeeeeeee!” Jess called, making me glance behind to find her running over to us while waving two pieces of paper at me. “I got the tickkkkets!”
I turned fully when she stumbled a little but caught herself, gasping slightly as she set her hands on her knees.
She gazed up then, a bead of sweat sliding down her temples as she handed me the two papers. “I got the tickets.”
I stared at her for a moment. “Tickets for what?”
She blinked, eyes widening. “What...? You... but I thought.”
I just glanced beside me at James, who shrugged.
“Master said you’d love to visit a Swift concert!” Jess said then, brows drawing together as I gazed back down at her. “He said it was your favorite band and that you’ve been asking for tickets for ages!”
“Swift isn’t a band, Jess,” James said then, holding back a smile.
I just lowered my lashes. “I apologize... but who is this... Swift?”
“Please, tell me you’re joking,” James said then, brows drawing together.
I gazed down at him, smirking. “I’m joking.”
I then took the tickets from Jess, smiling kindly down at her. “I appreciate you getting these for me, Jess. That was very kind of you.”
I smiled and patted her head, watching her cheeks burn a bright red.
I walked forward then.
One of master’s elaborate pranks, I see.
Which reminds me...
I gazed up then. “Where is master?” I said then, glancing back down at James.
He shrugged again.
“Well, aren’t you helpful today,” I said sarcastically.
“Didn’t we leave him back at the hair solon?” Jess asked me gently, cheeks still red. “He was getting his haircut last I checked.”
“Oh, yes, that’s right.” I sighed and set my finger on my chin. “I guess I’m just used to being by his side ever second.” After I started walking the direction we came, they followed after me. “I suppose his he’ll be close to done soon.”
“Why don’t you cut his hair, Dante?” Jess said then. “You have in the past.”
“Yeah, it seems odd that master suddenly wants the exact same haircut every day from a solon when you do way better,” James responded.
I just smiled slightly. “I know not. He’s very finicky lately. He’s been on edge.”
“Why?” Jess said then, voice immediately darkening. “Are there more people I can kill?”
“Sis!” James exclaimed. “We’re in public!”
She glanced around to find no one watching, then her shoulders shrank in relief. “Right, sorry.”
We finally made it back to the solon, and I pushed open the door as the bell rang above me.
“Welcome to Jimm James Solon and Spa,” the girl said, stepping over to me while smiling, “how may I help you today?”
“My master,” I said then, stepping forward, “Prince Belle. Is he done yet?”
She blinked and glanced down at the clipboard she was holding. “Oh, it looks as if he finished an hour ago.”
I blinked, brows drawing together. “What?”
“Yeah, he left by himself an hour ago,” she said then, gazing up at me.
My face paled slightly, and I just stepped out the doors, Jess and James following after.
“Is master alright?” James said then.
“Did he get kidnapped?” Jess said then.
I thought for a moment, rubbing my temples as I reconsiled myself. “No, he’s not.”
They blinked.
“I’d know if he’s in danger,” I said then, sighing as I stood fully. “He’s not.”
“How do you know?” Jess asked me.
The contract.
But I answered differently, “Just... think of the circumstances. Master told me his hair cut would take about ninty minutes, but in reality, it only took thirty. And he knows very well how long it takes.” I gazed up, lashes lowering. “When he finished an hour early, he did not think to call me or alert us in any manor that he was going somewhere. And he left without looking back at us, knowing fully we would come looking for him at the ninty minute mark. Therefore, we can conclude that he’s hiding from us.”
“What...?” Jess said then, brows drawing together. “Why?”
“I know not,” I said then, sighing as I started walking, and they followed. “He claims he’s not a child but he acts like one sometimes.”
“Heh...” Jess said then, “a man-child.”
“Percisely.”
I stopped then, gently inhaling the air and letting it fill my senses.
And I then gazed up, eyes flashing a bright red.
I caught his scent.
“He should think better than to do these things,” I said as I continued walking, and they followed behind me. “I will go find him,” I told the other two servants. “If you could... please go buy the rest of the groceries for his meals.”
They bowed. “Yes, sir!”
And they turned the other direction, skipping off.
I glanced behind them, finding them turning down the street.
I then looked around to see if there were any viewers.
There weren’t.
I then smirked and sprang off the ground, flying up higher until I met a light post, then I shot off that before landing silently on a roof.
I dashed forward, running to the edge of this roof before hopping to the next one. I free fell for a second before I landed and continued running.
He’s not that far.
“Have you been doing this every time you get a haircut?” I asked aloud. “I don’t see the point of your childish games, master.” I then smirked. “You should’ve known that I can track you once I figured it out. My venom is in your veins, or can’t you remember?”
After a moment, I hopped off the roof and free fell for another long moment.
I then landed silently on the ground, gazing up immediately with a dark smile.
A girl with long, black pigtails glanced around before seeing me.
She then gasped and took a couple steps back, eyes widening.
I blinked then, smile vanishing to a curious look. “Master?”
His cheeks burned a bright red, and his iris in his uncovered eye shook with my reflection.
“Master...” I asked him then, pressing further, “why do you have pigtails?”
He just remained silent before speaking up. “Ahem... I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
I arched a brow at his slightly-changed tone of voice, and reguarded him. “You... you’re wearing the eye patch I helped you put on this morning, master.”
His face flooded with red then.
“Is this you trying to hide from me...?” I said then, brows drawing together.
He just glanced around nervously before taking two steps back. “I don’t... know how to explain.”
“Easy, just tell me the truth,” I said then, arching a brow.
He gazed up at me then, and looked around again before locking his eyes with mine. “I have... a... a....”
“Come on, spit it out,” I said then, smiling a little. “I haven’t got all day.”
He then blurted it out. “I actually am a woman. Biologically.”
I blinked, staring at him for a moment. “Master... I change you every morning, and I’ve seen your parts. And that doesn’t explain how you grew two pigtails within the span of an hour.”
“No!” he whisper-yelled. “I mean... I mean I literally am a women...! Right now.”
I blinked. “What.”
He just caught my hand, making my brows arch when he pressed it to his chest.
I felt a bulge of a breast and my eyes widened.
“What,” I said again. “I am so confused.”
Luca just huffed out a breath. “I found out three years ago—before I encountered you—if I ate certian things, I would turn into a woman.”
I just stared.
“I think it’s an angel curse thing,” he said to me, gazing up. “I don’t know.”
I was silent for a couple seconds.
“I think I need scotch after this,” I responded then, sighing.
“Don’t do that, asshole,” he crossed his arms over his chest. “I hate you.”
We were both silent for a moment.
“So what did you eat?” I asked him.
He glanced over at me. “It’s stupid.”
“Every existance in this world, is stupid, master,” I said then, lashes lowering. “What did you eat?”
He pursed his lips slightly. “Ah... uhm.”
I arched a brow.
“Chocolate,” he said then.
I stared for a moment. “Ok...ay. What kind of chocolate?”
“Milk.”
“So...” I said then, still processing this, “is this like a werewolf thing or do you eat chocolate again to turn back into short-haired master?”
He pursed his lips. “I eat milk chocolate to grow pigtails and stuff... and then I eat white chocolate to turn into a man again.”
“How the hell does that work?” I demanded.
“How the fuck am I supposed to know?!” he responded then, glaring at me.
I just sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “Alright, well... let’s go home now.” I held out my hand, smiling slightly. “Master.”
His cheeks burned a bright red then, and he caught onto my hand.
I then guided him forward as he followed with me.
“So, you eat milk chocolate, grow woman parts, and pigtails. Then eat white chocolate, grow man parts, and you hair falls out to your usual hairstyle,” I clarified.
“It more shrinks in on itself to my hairstyle, but yes.”
I spared him an annoyed look.
He just watched me curiously.
We continued walking then, and we finally stopped back at the solon.
“Prince!” Jess yelled from in front of us, waving as she and James carried piles of groceries. “We got your food!”
“Thank you!” Luca called to them, cupping his free hand over his mouth.
“My, master!” James said then, stopping in front of me. “I love the new style! It reminds me of the ol’ days when I had long hair. I had to comb it daily but my assasin job made me cut it.”
“That sucks,” Luca responded then.
“Oh, you look so adorable in pigtails!” Jess said then, giggling as her eyes closed. “You look so cute, your grace! The solon did a great job!”
My lashes lowered.
Were these two idiots? There’s no way in living hell that the solon would grow his hair out like this.
This was clearly his real hair, too, not just extentions.
They started walking in the direction of his house, and I pulled him along as well.
“Would you like some white chocolate, master?” I asked him.
His cheeks were shaded a light pink. “No.”
A smile peaked through my lips. “Alright, if that’s the case, then I’d like to brush it for you.”
He gazed up then, eyes widening in curiosity.
“Is that alright with you?” I asked him.
He just looked back forward. “You’re my servant. You have to brush my hair every night and every morning.”
I smiled then. “I’ll take that as a, yes.”
