Luca kicked out his legs with extended energy as I ran a thin bristled brush through his long hair.
“It’s very soft,” I commented.
“I know,” he responded then, gazing up at me. “I like it that way.”
I just smiled.
After I finished, Luca just stood and stepped over to his nightstand, shuffling through the contents before pulling out a small piece of white chocolate.
He pressed it into his mouth and started chewing, waddling over to his bed before collapsing onto it.
His hair suddenly shrank back into his usual hairstyle, and a small bump on his chest flattened.
He rolled onto his back and gazed over at me curiously.
I stood and stepped over to him. “You had me brush it just so you could turn back?”
“Yes,” he responded, “you’ll do as I say. I know you do.”
I sighed and caught one of my freshly washed T-shirts and started undoing the buttons of his outfit. “Tell me.... the reason why you lied about the nintey minutes once a month, is it because you sneak off to raid the candy store?”
He stilled immeditely, telling me that I was right.
I smiled then. “You’re a bad liar.”
“And you’re irritating,” he responded, closing his eyes when I pulled off his shirt and tugged the collar of my over-sized T-shirt on him.
His head popped through, and he gazed down when I guided his arms through the sleeves.
When I finished, I set his previous clothes on the nightstand and drew back the sheets. “It’s time to rest now, master. Sleep well.”
He crawled under the covers and snuggled with his pillow. “You’ll stay?”
I smiled, sitting on the bed. “I’ll stay.”
