The Antonium was how it was named, a humongous structure shaped like an atom with the electron bound and supported by large tubes that contained Stairs and elevators, bringing from one molecule to another. The whole building perceivable as a structure wrapped in tin-foil only real in science fiction, the only realistic from the outside was that it had been made from stainless-steel.
Earlier in the café, Judas managed to break Cay from his trance-like state when he noticed his parted staring outside for too long, as if he could feel Cay’s soul etching away with each raindrop splashing onto the cobblestone surface and the edge of every building visible around him. The sudden and mellow sounds of droplets that Cay felt earlier almost infected Judas, it was hard not to notice a setting so soothing yet gloomy just beyond the covered part of the café. However, it required only a gentle tug from the stronger of two to pull Cay back to reality. The latter companion jerked his head when contact had been made. His reaction made Judas chuckled a bit, which was quite rare in the eyes of Cay, and proceeded to gesture to leave because the two did not have another day to spare in cobble and rainy Brussels.
They toured inside of the Antonium after paying a reasonable price later made only more reasonable after the visitation. The first section of the tour was within the highest part of the building, which the two had a panoramic view of Brussels but not high enough to oversee the entire Belgium land. The two went on walking along the circular walkway made of cement and steel and stopped once the Mini Europe Park was just below them.
“We’ll head over there after this.”, Cay said, dismissing the fact it was still raining.
“Alright.”, Judas responded, feeling Cay’s confidence that the rain would stop by the time they were done with the tour.
The escalators that they descended from one electron to another had systematically-placed lighting presentation on the tubular walls around them, creating an illusionary-effect and made every visitor a slight vertigo albeit pleasant-feeling. The rest of the sections were mainly about the history of the Antonium, its’ usage, and importance of it.
The two did not feel completely unfamiliar of the place, there were visitors from outside of the countries, mostly from Caucasian origins and even Englishmen! It was a comforting sound to hear a British accent after traveling for quite a while, the groups of people strangers to each other but one still could find comfort from a familiar sound. Cay and Judas would not often feel nervous throughout their past time traveling and saw no reason not to enjoy the present.
By the time they had descended a few floors, they were already walking towards the entrance in which they entered from. With their backpacks retrieved, and small belongings pocketed before walking outside to find the rain again, but this time it was mellower. The droplets giving off a soothing touch as they permeated into the thick and wind-resistant jackets, Judas’ hazel-colored hair catching a few of them in the process like small fruits barely clinging onto a thin stem.
As promised, the two went into the park filled with scaled-down iconic buildings from member-nations of the European Union. As Cay could recall reading online, the park had suspiciously been one of the best attractions in Belgium, but the entire vicinity was clearly vacant. Other than an old couple a hundred meter away, they were the only ones so far.
The tourist-season was yet to arrive, he knew that, but he could not help feeling a taste of iron on his tongue. The literal sense of criticism about to brought forth at the sad sight of dull miniature buildings and the lack of viewers.

By the time Jenna reached her boyfriend’s flat, her feeling of unease completely disappeared. Cay opened his door and greeted her with a warm peck on her icy, blotchy cheek and urged to take off her jacket. She hesitated for a second because she wanted to take in the traces of body heat from its’ inner fabric.
“So, honey, how much did you get for your assignment?”, As Cay gave his cooking a final stir before dishing it out of two separate plates.592Please respect copyright.PENANAFNGJO5Gbge
Almost as nervous as Jenna had been before her meeting with Jude, he was quite surprised she blurted out the number as soon as he finished his sentence. He was caught off guard not by her result, he would never doubt his girlfriend of getting anything lower than a 1:1, it was her sudden response that surprised him. That was usually how he responds, just to cut conversations short without thinking of anything intelligent to say.
“Oh, that’s great. But are you satisfied with just a seventy?”
“No.”, she pouted and got closer to Cay for a longed embrace.
“It’s alright, I’m still proud of you.”, he bozzled his face into the side part of her face and buried his into her dark hair.
“How about you just stay in bed and I’ll bring dinner in?”
“Sounds great, honey.”, she pecked his warm cheek with a slightly cold peck and walked into the bed room.
Cay brought dinner to the side of the bed and passed a plate with the same portion as he had to Jenna and sat beside his lying lover. He stroked her by the cheeks before starting his meal. He did not want to ruin the moment as he knew she had not the mood to further the conversation earlier and she was still warming up in the heating bedroom.
To Jenna, the dark blue dressing gown she touched earlier was as warm as his heart, his genuine smile gave her a sense of security and belonging. Why did I decide to leave him at this flat, she felt a bit of remorse and longed to sleep with him every night. Her flat was as close to the town centre as she could find from any property platforms online, she hesitated to live with him because there was not enough space to store her artwork from previous studies.
“I made some lemonade if you like some.”
“Yes, please.”
Cay knew Jenna had always preferred a sour drink after consuming something as oily as the stir-fry he just made, it did not take long for him to place the plate on the side table as he went into the kitchen to make some freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
With two half-drank glasses containing bulbs of lemon flesh, they stayed close to each other to enjoy each’s body heat while a movie Cay pirated this morning played. The candles Jenna bought for him a few months ago were lit beside the window’s small platform and the aroma leaving the wicks were as pleasant as spring-time’s flower.
