Reid Greene's POV
I want our school to win... but now that I have friends from other school, I also want them to win... But I want us to win! This is so hard! The game already started and the score is 58-61 in favor of the Ron Drake Academy. Jaden is a flawless player. He scored almost half of their score and now, it is in 4th quarter.
Brian is doing a great job too and our other players, but the opponent is also good. I don't even know who to cheer!
Brian keeps on glancing at us. maybe he is worried because his dad is not watching now. He have a meeting this time that's why he can't watch. But one thing I saw during the game. Brian and Jaden keeps on glaring at each other. What? Are they enemies?
"This is not good. He's not in focus." Bea said in herself. Well I can see that. He keeps on glaring!
"Why is he glaring anyway!? he's supposed to play!" I said as I threw the popcorn in the air.
"Easy there! You're wasting the food!" Denise exclaimed catching every popcorn she can.
The score is now 68-81 Ron Drake is still in lead. We are 13 points away... 10 minutes was left at the game. I'm starting to hate watching basketball games. It's making me nervous!

Jake Brian Jackson POV
I told captain before the game started that I'll guard Jaden Masen. I don't even know why I said that! Okay maybe because I was... I want to defeat him! Yeah that's it!
The problem is that he is good, almost as good as me. He can read when I will guard him tough and rough that's when he'll pass. If our team have ma and Keith, their teams have Jaden and Peter.
"Why are you glaring at me?" Jaden said as we play. He holds the ball now. He tried to do a drive but I read it clear and he back away.
"I'm not." I said as I continue to guard him.
"I like Reid." He suddenly said. Wait what? I was taken aback. what did he said? He can't like Reid! He just met him yesterday!
"Dude! jaden got away!" Captain Jock shouted. I came to my senses and run as fast as I can. He can't make this shot.
"Oh no you don't!" I jump and I block him. Alright I got the ball. Time to make some points.
They keep on guarding me and Keith in the last 10 minutes... We can't do our tag team that much. What we did is a little experiment by passing faster to our team mates. passing... passing... passing... shoot. Passing... shoot... passing... passing... shoot. some kind of that rotation.
It worked thankfully! the opposing team got lost in the rotation of our ball hence this enabled us to close the gap of our points to 90-92 still in favor of Ron Drake Academy.
I'm still bothered by what Jaden said. I don't even know why I'm bothered... But I need to work hard for my team in the mean time. We need to win. A time out was called by the opposing team.
"I know you're bothered by something... and I know you want to win. Just keep on passing the ball. We can get through this." Captain Jock said as he tap my shoulder.
"Yeah. Thanks." Is all I said. He may he an arrogant jerk like every one of us but one thing is for sure... He cares for the team.
FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS.
It was a tough fight after the time out and it was now tied in 98.
I trust my team so much. We can do it! Cheers can be heard at a very loud state. Everyone is excited. I did not miss a beat and do a fast break to our captain as he smashed the ball to the basket at the last 2 seconds of the game.
Buzzer Beater... We won... WE WON!!!
The crowd cheered for both teams because of the exceptional game that they had seen. It was a great game.

Jaden Mason's POV
It's our last game in the league... We lost... We did our best but still... We lost. some tears fell in my cheeks.
"Hey... Don't cry. You did a great job!" Reid said as he pat my back. What a nice person. I even used him to make Bran distracted but it did not worked that well.
I hugged Reid Greene.
He was shocked. As I open my eyes, I saw Brian Jackson, his eyes was as red as the fire, you can clearly see anger occupying his overall. He closed his eyes to calm himself and I guess it worked.
I did not meant to make him jealous. I just a hug from a friend. I got frustrated that we didn't even made it in finals.
"You okay?" Reid asked again.
"yeah thanks." I said as I smiled.
"C'mon Reid! We need to congratulate our team!" Bea said as she grabs him.
"Sorry dude, See you around!" Denise said as they go to their team.
There they go. Reid was with Bea and Denise and I think it's Brian's mother. They were congratulating him for winning the game.
I saw how Reid looked at Brian, and that's when I knew... I was just a friend. That sparkle when he looks at him, he didn't even knew that he was smiling just looking at him. He was mesmerized at Brian's presence. I can't compete to that.
For him, I am just a friend. A very caring friend.
I left the gymnasium with tears in my face. Such a pathetic act for me.
My own plan backfired. I fucked up.

Reid Greene's POV
There's a party again but since we got tired of it, we decided to have a movie marathon instead. Bea, me, Denise, Brian, Aeroe, and Keith. Aeroe is Bea's cousin, he just got here to watch for the finals, while Keith also got tired of the party so he decided to join us.
We are currently watching Angels and Demons because we are so smart. when I received a text from Jaden.
"I need to talk to you. Please."

Thinking it was urgent, I decided to meet him.
"I'll go out, anyone need more snacks?" I said.
"Get more Cheetos! And chocolates!" Denise said.
"Get me some Bueno! and Pringles!" Bea said and I left the room.
"Where are you going. You can all of that in the hotel." It was Brian.
