~~~Sarah’s POV~~~
Izzy stayed with me for most of the day and kept me away from Toby. She didn’t even let me sit with him during dinner, (which allowed my slutty ass cousin, Lexie, to sit next to him)! Instead, Izzy had me sit between her and Jade, not that I minded, I mean, I was with people I like, so I guess I was okay. Izzy and Jade must’ve noticed my glare towards Lexie, so Jade blurted out.
“HOLY SHIT! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT BANANA!” This caused some laughter to rise from the group, including myself and Izzy.
“Daaaaaaamn, Jade!” LJ smirked, “Back at it again with DEEZ BANANAS!!”
Everyone fell silent. I awkwardly cleared my throat, “You’re trying too hard, LJ…”
LJ just frowned before continuing to eat his sugar-coated steak.
Everyone resumed their conversation until my oh-so lovely cousin asked Toby, “So has the ship sunk?” Toby almost choked on his steak and I spat out my water.
“W-What?” Toby asked, turning to face Lexie with a highly confused look on his face.
“You heard me. You and my cousin don’t seem to talk anymore. Did you guys break up or something?” She asked, leaning really close to him. Toby tried to lean back from her, but she grabbed his shoulders to keep him in place. I growled before, within a matter of seconds, taking my straw out of my drink, put a pea in one end, and blew air in the other so the pea shot out at Lexie. To my luck, the fateful pea landed smack dab on her forehead.
I quickly wiped off my straw before sticking it back in my water before anyone noticed. I took a long sip as I stared at Lexie with an evil smirk on my face.
“Ha ha ha! Bullseye!” Death cheered.
“Thank you, dearie,” I thought.
Everyone realized what had happened, but didn’t notice (or at least show it) that I did it, and begun to laugh. Toby smiled at me. Did he notice?
Lexie pouted at me, “You did that on purpose!”
“Did what, Lexie Hexie Wexie?” I taunted softly. “I’m only taking a sip of my wasser.” I grinned while saying water in German.
Lexie growled at me, “This. Means. War.”
‘Ooohs’ and ‘Ohs’ rang through the dining room. I even heard an ‘OH SNAP, CRACKLE, AND POP!’ (which I assume came from Jade). Lexie took her fork, got up from the table, and made a mad dash for me.
I grabbed my fork and got up from my seat, before rolling to the side to avoid Lexie’s random stabbing.
“Ha ha ha! Try harder than that, you little shit head~!” I giggled.
Lexie huffed before screaming, “I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!!” Without any warning at all, Lexie aimed to stab my shoulder. I tried to duck out of the way, but instead of missing me, she stabbed my throat. Her eyes widened in terror as my blackish blood sprayed from my neck and all over her.
I just smiled as I fell to the ground. I grinned as I heard Toby flip the fuck out.
“WHAT THE LITERAL FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU??!?! YOU JUST SLICED UP THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!” Toby screamed at Lexie.
“But.. But she…” I felt Lexie glare at me. “She’s set me up from the start! This is all just some sick game to her!”
I continued to lay “lifeless” on the ground. My father walked over to me, a tendril lifted me up, “Sarah, that’s enough.”
I stayed still in his grasp, still pretending to be dead.
“S-Slendy… I-I don’t think she’s b-breathing…” Toby said, sounding like he was on the verge of crying. Aw, my poor Toaster.
“Now, Tobias, don’t be ridiculous,” Dad said, softly, “She’s my daughter; she can’t be killed that easily.” Dad placed one of his tendrils on my forehead, “Sarah… Come on, my child.”
Victor cleared his throat, “Father, maybe she’s unconscious. Either that or she’s pranking us. You know how my sister is.”
“Yeah,” Rogue said, “We all know Sarah loves a good scare!”
I stayed still, not wanting to give up the charade.
“S-She looks p-pretty d-d-dead to me…” Toby stuttered. He sounded like he was crying?
“I… I can’t sense any activity in her mind…” Dad spoke in a worried voice.
I heard someone fall to their knees. Then came ticks. Did Toby fall to his knees?
“God dammit!” Toby shouted, “Why is it whenever I care about someone so fucking much, they just.. DIE!” Toby choked on a sob, “Lyra… Sarah… I’m so fucking sorry…”
Toby, don’t cry… I thought, Just let me hold you… I tried to move but couldn’t. What the fuck..? WHY CAN’T I MOVE?!?! It felt like I was going through sleep paralysis (something really terrifying to go through, especially if you see a shadow figure on top of you, almost like it’s pinning you down.. *shudders* that shit scares me).
“Wait, Toby…” Dad said, “Come with me. We need to talk.” I felt him begin to walk out of the room and to his office.
“Okay… Whatever..” Toby said and began to follow him.
“How have you been feeling lately?” Dad asked.
“A little stressed… But I guess that’s life...” Toby said.
“Have you been taking your medicine?”
“Yeah..” Toby said, “Why do you ask?”
“Do not lie to me, Tobias. From what I just saw from you tonight, you haven’t been.”
“Yes I have.”
“Toby…”
“What? The voices are under control!”
Voices?
“Quiet, Toby.”
“What--?”
“I said quiet!” Dad snapped, “She’s okay… I sense activity in her mind.. She’s just trapped in her body…”
“Really?!?” Toby asked excitedly. Everything around me started to fade a little bit. WTF?
“And she’s slipping deeper into her mind… Probably her memories…” Dad sighed, sounding a bit irritated, “Which means that Death will take control of her body, kind of like a guard, to protect her body from harm. Or,” Dad said, his voice seemingly getting softer, “Death will force her to do things she wouldn’t normally do. Like kidnap several victims and then give back control and make her kill them.” I was, surprisingly, shocked. That is exactly what Death did before I killed Austin and Cammie!
I felt everything around me completely fade away. All I heard was a “good luck, To--” before everything disappeared completely.
~~~Toby’s POV~~~
“So I will have to go into her memories?” I asked. I kind of didn’t want to see that again, but I couldn’t let someone else do it.
“Yes,” Slender said, “It’s simple: locate her and bring her back out.”
“If you say so,” I said while stretching. I then laid beside Sarah calmly and closed my eyes.
“Good luck, Tobias,” Slender said as the world around me went black.
