Judging by what was surrounding me, I was in a marriage. I was sitting in the front row with other guests on my side but I could only hear them talking. I could not see them as my side view was blurry. Relatives were gathered near the stage where the groom and the bride were sitting in the middle. They were all wearing traditional clothes. Indeed, women were wearing sarees with mesmerising colours and style. Men were wearing elegant shirts and lungis. Judging by the sound of the crowd and the instruments playing in the background, the atmosphere was very festive. I focused my vision on the bride as lights were strangely all aiming at her, leaving other people in the dark. She was looking down at the floor. She was sitting motionless like a body without a soul. Suddenly, she moved like a patient getting back to life after being in coma for too long. She was trying to find somebody in the crowd. Her almond-shaped eyes stopped on me and stayed pointed at me. I had never seen such intense and at the same time beautiful eyes in my life. She was staring at me without blinking once. I was unable to get my eyes from her's. It is as if our hearts were connected through our eyes. A new feeling took over my body, a one beyond the expression of any pen. The pace of the melam and nadhaswaram was getting quicker and quicker. The groom took the thali and got closer to the bride's neck. She was still looking at me. Small drops of tears were flowing down her cheeks, The groom tied the thali. I felt like I had to do something but I did not know what. Before I had time to think, everything around me slowly faded away. All the bodies and the objects were breaking down into small particles and vanishing in the air. The bride was the only one who seems not to be disappearing. She got up and shouted:

"You are too late."

Her metallic voice was so strong that I was taken aback. My body was going out of the hall without my consent. The instruments were being quieter and quieter. Everything was dark after few minutes. There was no noise, nobody. I tried to shout and to move but there was nothing to do.
