The next day at school, I was still faced with hell by my classmates, though, I was able to bare it because Remi was by my side. Apparently, he had heard the rumors, but didn't care if they were true or not. He said he would continue to be a friend to me and help me out whenever he can. I'm pretty grateful to have a friend like him. Now I don't have to go through everything alone.
When gym class rolled around, we were outside again in the heat. Everybody was allowed to do whatever they want. They could talk or walk around the track or even play a little soccer. It's a good thing because it gives me a chance to figure out who the mysterious Rei Kanagawa is. Remi obviously knows who he is so it shouldn't be too hard to scope him out.
Both me and Remi stood off to the side and I was busy looking around at every student, trying to figure out who might look like a Rei Kanagawa.
"So...do you know who Rei Kanagawa is? I never got the chance to even see what he looks like. I want to thank him for taking me to the nurse's office each time I passed out." I said.
Remi nodded with a smile. "Of course. Rei is right there. The tall guy with green hair. His friend is the guy next to him who has the blue hair." Remi pointed out.
I squinted and followed Remi's finger over to the guy with green hair and that's when my heart stopped. I stared at the guy and I suddenly felt my heart thumping in my chest. The guy who saved me is actually....really cute and he looks nice. I bit down on my bottom lip, suddenly feeling shy.
"I can't believe you don't know who Rei is. I mean, sure you've only been here for two days, but Rei is the most popular guy in school. Every girl wants to be with him and every guy wants to be like him." Remi explained.
I slowly nodded, still staring at Rei. "I know, but with all these rumors flying around about me and people whispering about me, I sort of...cut everybody and everything out." I admitted.
Remi nodded. "I get it."
"So...does Rei have a girlfriend?" I asked.
Remi shook his head. "Nah. Even though his best friend is a huge flirt between them, Rei flirts a little also. He's pretty charming around people. Young and old." Remi explained.
I nodded again, all while checking out Rei. Watching him laugh along with his friend and a couple girls is like watching something magical. I could see stars and sparkles appearing around him. He definitely has the most cutest smile ever.

Gym finally ended and I walked with Remi back to the locker room so we can change out of our gym clothes and change back into our uniforms. I walked through the lockers with him, trying to reach my locker when I noticed that Rei and his friend were already in here and they were both changing. My eyes quickly went straight to Rei's bare chest and I started blushing.
He....He has a cute chest...
Remi stood next to me and looked at me then looked at Rei and his friend.
"You wanna go talk to them?" He asked.
I broke out of my thoughts and stared at Remi.
"Wh-what?" I said.
"Let's go talk to them." He said with a smile then started to walk over to Rei and his friend.
"Hey, Rei! Hey, Saito!" Remi called out as he walked up to them.
I quickly took action and hid on the other side of the lockers.
"Hey, guys. I want you to meet my new friend." Remi said then looked around.
"Hm...He was here just a minute ago..."
"Who's your new friend, Remi?" Rei asked.
"His name is Arata Tachibana." Remi replied.
"Arata? He sounds familiar...." Saito said.
"I'll go look for him." Remi said then walked towards the other side of the lockers where i'm at and spotted me.
"Hey, why did you leave?" He asked.
"Shh! I....I can't." I said.
"Can't what?"
I sighed. "I'm...i'm a little shy...I don't want to talk to him yet."
Remi nodded, understanding. "Oh. I get it. Another time then." He said then began changing out of his gym clothes.
I sighed in relief then peeked around the corner of the lockers and watched Rei change into his uniform. He still looks cute as ever to me. Now I see why so many people fawn over him. Rei is absolutely gorgeous with a matching smile.
