The weekend rolled by after a really hectic week at school. I've actually gotten better and have been eating more. Of course I have no choice, but to eat because Remi and Rei keep breathing down my neck about eating. Especially Rei. I know he's only acting concern and I appreciate him being concerned. Now, i'm just glad that it's finally the weekend so I can relax and not have to worry about eyes on me and my food.
"Arata, can you go to the store for me and pick up some things for our dinner tonight?" Mom asked when she walked into the living room.
I nodded then stood up and took the shopping list from her then looked it over.
"You can go to that little market to get those things. There's no need to go to a grocery store." She said.
I nodded then shoved the shopping list into my pocket.
"Alright. I'll go get them now." I said then headed over to the front door with Persimmons tailing behind me. I slipped on my shoes then looked down at my cat and smiled.
"Wanna go for a walk, Persimmons? I'm sure you need some exercise." I said then picked him up and held him in my arms.
"Alright. I'm going!" I called out to my mom.
"Be safe!" She called back.
I walked out the door and started to make my way into town.
"Boy. It sure is hot out eh Persimmons?" I said.
All Persimmons did was meow, but I took that as a yes from him. I giggled.
"Oh. Here's the market." I said, stopping in front of it.
"Well, let's go inside." I said then started to walk inside when I noticed that the sign on the front door said NO PETS ALLOWED.
I automatically frowned.
"I guess you're gonna have to stay out here." I said then set Persimmons down.
"Don't go anywhere okay?" I told him then walked into the shop.

"Persimmons! I bought you some treats!" I said as I walked out of the shop.
I started to look around, wondering where my cat went.
"Persimmons?" I said then started to walk around, calling his name.
"Persimmons!" I yelled out.
Suddenly, I started to have that fear. You know that fear you get when you lose something so valuable to you? Whether it's a cell phone or a child or even your lover. That's the feeling i'm getting right now after discovering that Persimmons is missing. My cat is pretty important to me because whenever I'm feeling down, he would sit right beside me and listen to me talk about my feelings. Now, he's gone.
I went up to a bunch of people and asked them if they've seen my cat, but nobody was helpful. Finally, my distress was setting in and I could feel tears well up in my eyes. I didn't know what to do now.
Finally, I've thought about calling Rei to ask him with helping me find my cat. I pulled out my cell phone and punched his number in. I listened to the dial tone ring a couple times before I heard Rei's voice on the other end.
"Hello?"
"Rei!" I shouted.
"Woah. What's wrong?" He asked.
"R-rei...My....Persimmons..." I squeaked out, feeling the tears roll down my face.
"Your....Persimmons? What about it?"
"P-Persimmons is gone!" I shouted. I completely forgot that Rei doesn't know I have an orange cat named Persimmons which is based off the orange fruit.
"Um...okay? Can't you buy another one?"
"Rei!" I shouted. "Persimmons is my cat and he's GONE!"
"Woah. Alright, I hear you. Tell me where you are and i'll help you look for him."
I nodded then told Rei where I was at before hanging up. I stood there and waited for Rei to show up, wiping my tears away. A few minutes later, Rei rushed up to me.
"Arata..."
I looked at him with tear filled eyes then I hugged him tightly.
"Please help me find Persimmons!"
"Okay. Okay. Let's go look for him." He said, hugging me back then we both set out to find my cat.

We looked everywhere we could and asked a bunch of people, but nobody said they have seen an orange tabby cat. I started to feel myself getting defeated when Rei suggested we look at the park. I followed him to the park and we both started to call out to Persimmons.
"Persimmons!" Rei yelled.
"Persimmons! Where are you!?" I shouted.
"Hey, is this your cat?" A male voice asked.
I looked over to see a really sexy tall guy that looked like a model, walk up to me and Rei while holding Persimmons. I smiled brightly and felt myself crying again.
"Persimmons!" I shouted then ran over and took him from the guy's arms.
"Persimmons, i'm so glad you're alright. I was so worried about you..." I said then giggled when he started licking my face.
I looked at my cat savior and bowed. "Thank you so much for saving my cat! I don't know what would have happened if you weren't around!"
The guy chuckled. "There's no need for thank you's. It's the least I could've done. It seems like that cat is really special to you."
I stood up straight and nodded towards him. "Yes. He's my little Persimmons." I said with a smile.
"Well, I guess we should go now. Thanks again." Rei said then both me and him turned and started to walk away when the guy started speaking again.
"Hey, do you both go to Suii High School?" He asked.
I stopped in my tracks and looked at him then nodded.
"Yeah. We're second years there."
"Cool. I'm going to be attending that school next week. I'll be a third year. My name is Kenshi Hatake."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Arata Tachibana and this is Rei Kanagawa." I introduced.
Kenshi smiled softly. "Nice to meet you both. I can't wait to see you guys there."
I nodded.
"Alright. Well, we should get going." Rei said then me and him started to walk away, saying goodbye to Kenshi. For now.
