A couple days later, I was back at school. I had to take a couple days off because of my cold. I really wish I could've just stayed home for one day and then be back at school the next day, but my fever had a trouble time going down completely and with my mom being super overprotective, she wanted me to stay in bed to get better. Now, i'm all better and I get to go back to school. I sorta miss school because I miss seeing my friends and I miss seeing Rei. Everybody wasn't allowed to come over in fear of them catching my cold.
When I got to the school, I headed to my homeroom classroom. When I got there, I opened up the door with a bright smile on my face.
"I'm back!" I shouted.
I expected Remi to start running up to me and give me a big hug and I expected Rei to come up to me and tell me how much he missed me, but I didn't get that. When I looked over, I saw Rei, Saito and Remi sitting around an unfamiliar boy who was sitting at my desk. I narrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
Maybe they didn't hear me...? And who's that boy that they're crowding around...
I took a deep breath then walked over to everybody.
"Um...hey." I greeted softly.
"Arata! You're back!" Remi said then he jumped up and gave me a big hug. I giggled then hugged him back.
"Arata," Rei started as he walked up to me. "I missed you so much. How do you feel?" He asked.
I smiled softly. "I feel great. I needed the rest." I said then smiled brightly when Rei kissed me.
"Arata! You have to meet our childhood friend!" Remi said.
I blinked my eyes. "O-Our...?"
Remi nodded. "Yeah. He's my, Saito and Rei's childhood friend. We all went to grade school and middle school together. Though, Rui had to move away...but now he's back!"
I smiled softly at Remi. He seemed pretty excited about introducing me to his childhood friend. I looked over to see the boy stand up then walked up to me.
"Hi. I'm Rui Matsumura. It's so nice to meet you, Arata~" He said softly then held out his hand to me.
I briefly stared at him and his hand before I grabbed it and shook it gently.
"N-Nice to meet you too...Rui-San."
Rui smiled cutely. "Just call me Rui okay?"
My eyes slowly widen.
He's...he's cute and not just cute, but adorably cute and he's so innocent looking...
I looked over Rui. From his silvery white hair to his dark blue eyes to the huge belt buckle that was around his neck and the lock necklace. At first, I would've thought Rui was a girl just by looking at his feminine features. He's definitely way too cute and he looks young too. Maybe the age of fourteen or fifteen? Though, he's not fourteen or fifteen since he went to grade school and middle school with the three of them.
I sighed softly as I let go of Rui's hand, feeling a bit overwhelmed by his cuteness.

Lunch time rolled around and instead of me eating lunch with Remi, Saito and Rei like I normally do, i'm busy watching the three of them chat it up with Rui. I know that they are all probably excited to be seeing and talking to their childhood friend again, but...it almost seems like i'm invisible to them.
I cleared my throat then tried to speak up.
"U-um...guys..."
But they didn't look at me at all. They were too busy listening to Rui's stories about him living in Paris. I sighed sadly as I poked at my food a little bit when I looked over to the classroom door and saw Kenshi standing there. That's when I decided to get up and go over to him. I closed my bento box then stood up and walked over to Kenshi, knowing that my friends wouldn't even notice that I left.
"Hey, who's the newbie?" Kenshi asked once I stood next to him.
"He's...Rui Matsumura. He's Remi, Rei and Saito's childhood friend." I explained then looked at Kenshi.
"You've been at school. Did he just enroll into this school today?" I asked.
Kenshi nodded. "Sorta. I saw him checking out the school yesterday with his parents. I guess he officially enrolled here today."
I nodded as I watched Rui. "What do you think about him?" I asked.
Kenshi smirked. "He's cute. I'll give you that, but he's not my type. I like someone who can play hard to get, but also let me take charge in the bedroom."
I nodded again.
"Why? What does Rei think of him?" He asked.
I shrugged. "I dunno. Ever since I was introduced to him, Rei wouldn't stop talking to him..."
"I see. Well, you wanna go eat on the roof?" He offered.
I nodded then the both of us went up to the roof to eat our lunch. When we got there, we both sat down in the shade. I set my food next to me, but didn't feel like eating.
"Not eating?" He asked.
I shrugged as I held my legs up to my chest. "Suddenly, I lost my appetite..."
"That's not good. You just recovered from being sick and now you're not eating again..."
I sighed. "I know, but...I can't stop thinking about Rui and Rei."
"Why? Are you afraid Rei would go after him?" He asked.
"It's possible. I mean, they've known each other for so long. It's possible that they might've fell for each other in middle school and now that Rui is back, they might want to rekindle old feelings..."
Kenshi shook his head. "I don't think so. Even if they did like each other back then, just because Rui is back, it doesn't mean Rei would dump you for him. He doesn't seem like the type of guy. You should know that. He's your boyfriend after all."
I nodded then buried my face into my legs. "I know..."
Rui is just Rei's friend. I know I shouldn't be feeling jealous or worried about the both of them liking each other. Kenshi is right. Rei is my boyfriend and he definitely doesn't seem like the type to cheat or dump me for someone as cute as him.
