I can't believe I just did that. I'm so stupid. I might as well have just snatched the glass and poured it all over the top of his head. Such a klutz.
Thirty minutes pass and still no sign of Leo. Ronda stands on a chair in the kitchen. She taps the spoon on the glass to get everyone's attention.
"May I have everyone please come to the kitchen?" The party-goers make their way to the kitchen. "Thank you all for coming. Leo should be here shortly. But before he shows, he'd like a volunteer to go up into his room and grab the note off of his bed and read it to the rest of you. So who would like to do the honors?" She smiles. Everyone exchanged glances, no one speaking up.
"Well since I've been here many times. I think I will do it." Mrs. Davis raises her hand.
"Great!" Ronda hops off the chair, "You know the way." Mrs. Davis smiles and heads up the stairs towards Leo's room.
Ronda watches her until she's out of eyeshot. It's time. Ronda grabs her jacket and heads out the back door undetected.
