Everyone remains quiet for what seems like forever without noise or movement. After my phone call with Xavier, Vincent walked out of the room and hasn't come back. His "men" is what I'll call them, have been standing in a straight line, perfectly still, each staring at us. I have so many questions, but they'll most likely never be answered. For starters, why me? That's what I'd like to know.
"Looks like we're taking a little field trip." Vincent comes back into the room. "Also there's been a little change in plans." He doesn't make an effort to explain, so I ask.
"What do you mean change in plans?"
"That will be answered with time." He smiles at me. "Boys. You know what to do." He leaves the room again. I watch as each guy in the line, one by one, grabs someone and ties their hands behind their backs before injecting something into their bodies. Vincent walks back into the room and holds out his hand to me, "Stand up."
"You're not going to do that to me?" I ask.
"I am." He pulls me to my feet. "Turn around." He says to me. I give him a weird look. He turns me around and pins my arms behind my back. I should be fighting him, but I don't. There's no use, right now. After my hands are tied, he places a black sack over my head and then injects me. At first, I feel nothing, then slowly I lose feeling in my legs. I start to fall, but he catches me and carries my half-limp body. I can still move my upper half, but not for long. I feel myself being placed into a small area, then I hear the sound of a trunk slam. I lose feeling in my upper half. The voices I hear start to go fuzzy and I can no longer keep my eyes open.
"I'm on my way. Everything is going as planned. Just a minor setback-" His voice cuts off as my consciousness fades.
