We all played for awhile till the end of our first game. That's when everybody decided to check out the arcade section of the bowling ally. I went along with Remi and watched him check out video games until I noticed a claw machine in the corner. I walked up to it and looked inside to see a lot of cute anime plushies. I felt like getting one, but I thought that I should save my money for food when I get hungry and plus, i'm not really good at the claw machines anyways.
I was about to walk away and head back over to Remi when I saw a really cute plushie of Ciel from Black Butler, dressed up in a cow costume.
"Hey, you want one?" Rei asked as he walked up to me.
"Huh?"
"You want me to get you one?" He asked with a smile.
"Oh...you don't have to..."
Rei shook his head. "I don't mind. Now which plushie do you want?" He asked.
I turned towards the claw machine and pointed to the Ciel plushie.
"That one. The Ciel plushie."
Rei nodded then he put some money into the claw machine and began to play the game. I watched him as he moved the claw over to the Ciel plushie then attempted to pick it up. I tried to not get my hopes up because claw machines like to trick people out of their money and not everybody can attempt to win a plushie out of it, but once I saw that Rei had managed to grab the plushie, I was wrong.
The plushie was dropped into the box and Rei pulled it out then handed it to me.
"Here you go."
I smiled softly then took it into my hands.
"T-thanks, Rei." I said then cuddled the plushie.
Rei smiled at me then gently petted my head.
"Let's head back over to the group okay?" He said then started to walk over to everybody and I followed after him.
"Oh, hey. What's that?" Remi asked once I walked over to him and sat down.
"It's a Ciel plushie. Rei won it for me."
"Really? That's so cool." Remi said.
"Yeah. My boy, Rei here is good at the claw machines." Saito said as he patted Rei on the back.
"It's nothing. Really." Rei said with a smile then he looked at me.
"Oooo. I'm so hungry~ How about we eat first before starting our next game?" Ichigo suggested.
"Sure. I'll go buy the food. Anybody wanna come with me?" Fumi asked as she stood up.
"How about Arata? It would be a good time for you two to get to know each other." Remi offered.
"M-me?" I said, surprised.
"Sure. Go ahead, Arata." Remi said with a smile.
I sighed then stood up and followed Fumi over to the snack area. Fumi went ahead and ordered the food and drinks for everybody while I stood there, holding my Ciel plushie close to my chest. Fumi then turned to me and looked at my plushie before looking at me.
"So...Rei won that for you huh?" She asked.
I nodded.
Fumi smirked. "I seriously don't know what he sees in you."
I blinked my eyes, confused. "H-huh...?"
"I know who you are. You're that foreigner that can barely speak Japanese and you have a eating disorder. Hm...Now that I think about it, Rei is probably just pitying you. He knows that you have an eating disorder right?" She asked.
"I...I don't..."
"No need to deny it. Everybody at school knows. Still, even if Rei is just pitying you..." She started, looking me over from head to toe.
"I still don't see why he would give you the time of day. You don't deserve it. I noticed how he looks at you and talks to you and I don't like it."
I bit down on my bottom lip, not saying anything.
"You know, i'm Rei's ex."
My eyes widen, surprised. "R-really?"
She nodded. "We're pretty much each other's first love. We even slept together."
Suddenly, my heart stopped and I felt cold inside.
Fumi is...Rei's first love? And they slept together??
I looked down. "I...I see..."
"Yeah. There's even a possibility of us going back out."
I slowly stepped away. "Um...I have to go..." I said then turned on my heel and walked away.
I walked back over to the group and sat down then began taking off my bowling shoes.
"Hey, where are you going, Arata?" Remi asked.
"I...I just forgot that I have to help my mom out today. So I have to leave early. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you next time." I said to him as I switched my shoes then grabbed my plushie and got up then walked over to the shoe rental stand and returned my shoes.
I passed by Fumi on my way out.
"Where's he going?" Ichigo asked.
"Hey, Fumi. What happened?" Rei asked.
"I dunno. He just suddenly decided that he didn't want to play with us anymore." She said with a shrug.
I walked outside when I heard Rei calling after me.
"Arata!" He shouted as he ran up to me.
"Why are you leaving?" He asked.
"S-sorry...I have to go. You stay and have fun okay? I'll see you Monday..." I quickly said then ran away.
As I was running, I could hear Rei calling my name before his voice slowly disappeared altogether.
"Arata!"
