I was near the entrance of a house. A part of my view was hidden by the roof of the house. The sunlight was bright, it was decreasing the sharpness of my vision. Women were walking on the streets. They were wearing sarees and using the pallu to cover their heads. Going along with the women, men seem to be heading to their houses from the market. They were all holding bags filled with vegetables. The sun was burning and the floor released heat like a volcano about to erupt. My attention was caught by somebody singing. It was the voice of a man. The lyrics of the tune were unfamiliar to me but the music was soothing to hear. A woman stopped in front of the house. She was intrigued by the voice so she came closer to the house. Unable to make one more step ahead, she tried to find whoever was singing with that mesmerising voice. The purity of the voice was unbelievable while reaching unexpected high notes but also deep low notes. The woman was enjoying the music, unknowingly her eyes got shut and she got immersed in the tune. Each of the notes were caressing the heart, leaving an emotional print before another note came along and took its place. As somebody called her, probably her mother, she came back to her senses and left still staring at the house. The sunlight was becoming brighter and brighter until I was completely blinded and my whole body went numb.

Rays of light were penetrating my eyes, making them suffer. I had fallen from my bed. The radio was on, playing a music sang by S.P. Balasubrahmanyam sir.

S.P. Balasubrahmanyam sir, a legendary Indian playback singer, passed away in 2020. He sang a humungous amout of songs in various languages. He was a great singer but also a very good human being. Many people prayed for his recovery but I suppose god took him so that he could sing with his vibrant voice somewhere else... He will still be alive as long as people will listen to his songs and that for sure is not going to stop.
