Perutku rasanya lumayan meronta, sarapan roti isi tidaklah cukup.
Tanpa berlama – lama, kami bergegas menuju lantai dua.
“Well¸ tidak semua pernah kubaca sih.”
Beberapa judul itu adalah Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Ridding Hood, Hansel & Gretel, Von Mohr, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel, dan Hamlet & Ophelia.
Tn. Cake sesaat mengernyitkan keningnya, ia mengambil dua judul buku itu.
“Katakan, Feline, mana yang pernah kau baca sebelumnya?”
“Eh? Well…” dengan agak malu aku menunjuk satu judul buku dengan ilustrasi wanita rambut pirang memakai dress anggun.
Tn. Cake menghela nafas, kepanya menggeleng ringan.
Cake,” alisku terangkat. “Apa yang aneh dengan itu?”
“Aku jarang membaca dongeng.
“Well… aku berusaha membaca label usang ini.”
Bukan hanya usang, tapi hanya tersisa seperempatnya.
“Semuanya?” tanyaku sedikit mengeluh,
Cake.
Kardus demi kardus… lembar per lembar…
