I saw Charles and Lilly walking back to the car with a lot of shopping bags. Charles unlocked the car and opened my door. I watched as Lilly put the shopping bags in the back and walk back toward the mall.
“I’m taking you to the movies Polly,” Charles told me.
I nodded and took his hand. He kissed me, shut the car door, and locked it. We walked into the mall and went toward the movie theater. We waited five minutes in line then it was our turn.
“May I help you?” the woman said examining Charles.
“Yes, two tickets to the best romance movie you guys have,” Charles said.
He looked at me and planted a kiss on my forehead.
“$18.47 please.” the woman said.
Charles handed her the money and she gave us the tickets. We walked into the theater and took our seats. Charles took my hand as the movie began. I kept looking at Charles and I heard him laugh.
“Something wrong?” I whispered to him.
“Not at all,” he whispered to me.
I folded my arms and sighed. We kept on talking back and forth and people kept on yelling at us.
“Excuse me,” said a security guard. Charles and I looked right at him.
“I’m going to have to ask you guys to leave.” the guy told us.
We stood up and walked out of the theater laughing. We walked to the car, and Lilly was waiting leaning on the car. Charles unlocked the car and we got in.
“We are having dinner with my whole family tonight Polly. So dress nice.” Charles told me.
I nodded and we pulled into the driveway.
