I helped Charles and Lilly carry the bags to our room. I walked into the closet and saw all of my clothes gone. I ran to my drawers and opened them all and all of my pj’s were gone as well. I heard Charles and Lilly laughing and I sighed.
“What’s going on?” I asked them and they laughed harder.
“Well, we bought you clothes so you can only wear the clothes and jewelry we got you until you wear them all,” Charles said.
I walked over to the shopping bags and looked at the clothes. There is no way I’m wearing this. I ran toward Charles and Lilly and they ran out of the room as fast as they could. I chased them around the house for thirty minutes. I finally stopped running and gave up. They weren’t sweating but I was.
“Get showered and dressed Polly,” Charles told me laughing.
I sighed and went into the room and inside the bathroom. I locked the door and jumped in the shower. The warm water running down my back felt so good. I took my time washing my hair and body. I shut off the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I walked out of the bathroom and got a short black and red sleeveless dress and I found a pair of 6-inch red strap heels and put them on and sat down. I blow-dried my hair and brushed it out and put a bit of makeup on and put on my engagement ring, a necklace, a bracelet, and earrings. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed. Charles walked in and kissed me.
“You look so beautiful Polly,” Charles said.
“Ya but I hate how short the dress is and how high the heels are,” I told Charles and he laughed and wrapped an arm around my waist.
“Ready?” he asked me.
“I’m as ready as I’ll be,” I replied and he led me out of the room and down the stairs. We walked toward the two big doors and Charles kissed my hand gently. The doors opened and we walked in. There sat his parents, Lilly, and two other people.
“Polly this is my Aunt Tasha and Uncle Jeff,” Charles said.
“Hi, it’s nice to meet you both,” I said and Charles led me to a chair and pulled it out for me. I sat down and he gently pushed the chair in. Then he took a seat right next to me. Just then a few vampire waiters came in and gave us our drinks. One of them was looking me up and down. He noticed me looking at him and so he winked. I looked at Charles and smiled. He gave me a smile back and I took a sip of my water.
“Polly, when Charles calls us, you’re all he talks about,” said Tasha.
I saw Charles bring his hand to his forehead so I laughed.
“Well, he is all I think about. He’s my whole world,” I said and Charles smiled.
“And you’re my whole world too,” Charles said before he kissed me. I heard everyone else saying ‘aww’. I smiled and fixed my dress. The food came and I ate it slowly and gracefully.
“Such a polite girl,” said Tasha.
I smiled and thanked her.
“Excuse me,” I said and got up from the table. I walked out of the big dining room and was pinned against the wall by someone.
