"Oh man. Why do I feel like this?" I ask myself before rolling over in the bed. I had just woken up and was feeling very groggy. I notice something strange. There happens to be a very beautiful sleeping woman next to me. I can't do anything other than smile and stare at her like a creep. An alarm goes off startling me and she wakes up. She smiles, looks at me, and says "Morning babe." My jaw drops and I go "babe?" She smiles and says "yeah, marriage kind of does that too you." Before I have a chance to even ask, she gives me a kiss and leaves the room. While she is getting dressed around the corner, I ask her " so if I'm babe, what should I call you?" I try to do everything I can to sound like I know what her name is even though I don't. She chuckles and says " my name would be fine. Just do me a favor and stay away from calling me pooky. " I can't help but giggle at this also. I discover that she is leaving for work and will return that evening. Trying to not sound like something is wrong I take her kiss and tell her I can't wait. While gone I quickly started to research what to do with a wife. Amongst several bad sites, I found one that told me about dating. I decided I would try that. The day goes by. Although long, it finally gets to the time that she arrives home. Over a quick meal, I ask her if she'd like to go on a date with me. She smiles, chuckles and says, " of course you goof." Hearing her chuckle seems to make my heart pound while causing me to feel extremely calm. That night we ended up going on a simple movie date and then we made plans for the upcoming weekend. The next day we had an extremely simple at-home movie date. The day after that I surprise her. I had an easy pizza dinner waiting for her at home, but I had also prepared some flowers, candles, and a nice drink for her. She smiled bigger than I thought possible. Finally, the weekend arrives. She takes me out to lunch, then surprises me with putt-putt golf and then a really good comedy movie. I can't help but smile and tell her "this is the most fun I've ever had." She chuckles and says " don't be ridiculous. We’ve done all this before; it’s just been awhile. " At that very moment it felt as though she stabbed my heart with her words. All I knew is that I had truly fallen in love with this woman. I grab her and pull her in as tight as possible for a hug and then I plant a kiss on her forehead. Yep, I was hers now and forever. After a night of winding down, we finally got to sleep. The next morning, I wake up groggy. I roll over and discover a beautiful sleeping lady next to me. An alarm goes off startling me and waking her up. "Morning babe!" She says before noticing my surprised face. " How long are you going to be strange like this? Why are you acting this way? I know none of this surprises you. So quit the act and explain! " She sits up and demands of me. I can't do anything but smile and try to explain " ok, ok. So, I have not forgotten about anything. I know who you are and what we do. But that doesn't make it any less special. Everything can be amazing as if it were new when I am with my lovely wife. " I grab her shoulders, pull her in, and kiss her as sweetly as possible before saying " ok, I will stop the shenanigans so go get ready for work." She smiles, laughs and leaves shaking her head while shouting out that she loves me.
