He snorted, and ran. The oldest son of the herdsman screamed at the top of his voice, he rammed into the side of the huge beast with his shoulder. His father whistled.
The chain had come off her bicycle, too shocked to move, she watched as the long pointed horns stopped inches from her face.
The bull snorted, the younger man smacked him with a stick. He joined the others.
Inkosi looked at the girl, eyes the colour of the sky, and hair that of a sunrise. They didn’t dare smile at each other, a subtle nod, was all the communication they needed.
