It always makes me happy to see people complement Sasuke's skills, haha! Obito, Madara, Orochimaru.. The list goes on and on! It really shocks me to see antis give Sasuke no credit at all then praise Itachi for being "ninja jesus"
That’s the thing: Sasuke’s always been complimented for his skill, not in spite of it. Every single one of the praises for Sasuke has come after he’d demonstrated something incredible. The antis don’t give Sasuke any credit because that’d been diminishing the worth of their avatars. Sasuke’s growth is termed a “plot hole” instead of a natural progression of the idea that Sasuke was extraordinary but neglected by his father in favor of his brother. Once he had tutors of his own, he knocked it out of the park in less than half the time the so-called prodigies like Itachi and Kakashi learned and/or mastered their arsenal. Itachi’s especially abysmal in this regard as he never invented, improved, or revolutionized anything whereas Sasuke literally revolutionized the manner in which shape, nature, and chakra can co-exist and be transformed into godly shapes that go beyond Indra’s and Sage’s idea of “Nature wielded by man”; he used both Ninshu and Ninjutsu: Ninshu to provide the gathering place for all Bijuu inside his own Gedo Mazo and Ninjutsu to re-create grand instruments of battle as Indra did in the past. Kurama states as much, but I guess, these people know more than a manga character that’s meant to be the keeper of intricate knowledge. It’s laughable.
You can combine Itachi’s and Kakashi’s talents (throw in Minato, too, because he’s another overrated wanker) and they still wouldn’t be even half as impressive as Sasuke’s. The kid created two Sage-level techniques, reversed Sage’s best Ninjutsu, and improved upon the Rinnegan’s toughest Path’s Jutsus on the battlefield (Nagato used an entire platoon of people to do what Sasuke did in seconds, and Madara couldn’t handle the chakra of all Bijuu simultaneously, either). There wasn’t even any time for learning. He did all that literally on the battlefield! There isn’t a Shinobi alive who’s done anything even remotely close to this. The fact that people suggest that Sakura was robbed and that she had more “potential” or whatever compared to Sasuke is chuckle-worthy at best. She took three months to make a single fish wriggle while Sasuke mastered and created a Taijutsu technique, inspired from Lee’s, of his own in a single day and mastered Lee’s weightless speed and Chidori in less than a week (both feats, according to Gai, are impossible even with a Sharingan, but they know more than a Taijutsu expert, you see). Sasuke knew how to channel regular and elemental chakra through instruments long before he ever joined the academy (Orochimaru’s fight?) when no one could do that, not even Kakashi who’s supposedly way better than Sasuke. And all this happened in part I.
I mean, where did they expect this would go? If Sasuke could do all that without a proper tutor while being trapped in a compound that gave him mental anguish, then what would he be able to do once he got a prodigious tutor in the shape of Orochimaru and fled from the place that affected him mentally? It’s almost as if he’d improve leaps and bounds. Frankly, it’s pathetic the manner in which they believe that any person in K-13 save Neji would’ve accomplished anything like this. Now, Neji was robbed. The rest? Eh, fuck ’em. They never showed anything even remotely remarkable (as I said, Sakura took three fucking months to make a fish wriggle and three fucking years to knead chakra into her forehead while Sasuke’s shown to do that in seconds; it was never a contest at any point in the manga; Sakura’s talented, but compared to a prodigy like Sasuke, she might as well be utterly talentless), so I don’t see how they would’ve matched Sasuke on any front. It’s their Fan-Fiction talking as always.
