Idk its will help but Oh and the reason why Deidara can see Sasuke genjutsu like miles away. Bc, Deidara is a long-distance fighter. He can see objects so far away even without his scope. Deidara is able to see long distances without his scope as after being reincarnated, he found enemy shinobi lurking in the forest. But he still needs to close his right eye to see the long-distance vision. Just info
He isn’t wearing any scope in the scans with which I made that argument. He actually dropped it before that when the explosion took place. He was wearing the scope on the same eye he’d trained to cast the Genjutsu. This can be seen in several scans:
Side-view:
Front-view:
As you can see that there’s a black patch attached to the scope. More scans that give a full view of the scope:
See? It’s a scope that he wears on the same eye that he’s trained to identify Sharingan’s Genjutsu. It’s got a distinct black patch attached to it that runs the side of his left cheek.
Once he fell down with the C2 Dragon, he lost his patch in the explosion:
He no longer has the patch here. More close up scans:
This is the same eye on which he wore the patch to counter the Sharingan. As you can see, he doesn’t have the patch anymore. As for the long distance sight, then I think you’re talking about this scan?
Well, Sasuke, as I explained cast the Genjutsu on Deidara after he’d seen the effects of Karura, and Deidara’s Genjutsu-detecting eye is closed the whole time; he opened it after seeing Sasuke bite the dust:
That eyes is closed here when he uses it:
Sasuke saw the effects of Karura here; he initially thinks that Deidara’s Jutsu misfired, but when he takes a closer look, he notices its effects and decides to fool Deidara by showing him that he died the same way:
While he was detonating the Nano-Bombs, his long-distance-seeing eye is firmly closed. Sasuke still managed to cast the Genjutsu from such a long distance:
Deidara opens it after he sees Sasuke turning to dust, not before it:
It isn’t really a surprise as at close-ups, Sharingan is capable of seeing Nano-Sized objects as the C4 Karura bombs are Nano-Sized:
Sasuke while being trapped inside the clay-clone that uses the same C4-Nano-Sized Bombs was able to see them very clearly as individual bombs inside his system, which he only saw as a cloud of dust before as they were way too far away:
Deidara’s eye was closed the second time, too, though Kishimoto forgot that it was the left eye instead of right, but I forgive him. He’s only human:
Deidara opened his eyes after he saw the effects of Karura on Sasuke:
As I said: the Sharingan can hyper-focus on the target, so the distance doesn’t matter, anyway; and that means that it neither requires a mid to short-ranged distance nor direct eye-contact to cast the Genjutsu on the target.
No, Sasuke’s Genjutsu was completely successful. Reasons? Here are my reasons. One) Deidara saw the full effects of the Genjutsu both times:
Two) both times, his eye told him that he was under Genjutsu:
Three) What’s the difference between the two scenes? Chakra to cast the Clay-Kawarimi Jutsu. The first time, he had the chakra. The second time, he didn’t, which is why he got punched:
Since he had no chakra, he couldn’t cast the replacement Jutsu and got struck in its stead:
He can’t even tell when the Genjutsu ended. The punch told him. While Deidara does say that his training nullified the Jutsu and that he wouldn’t fall for the same trick twice, he was wrong on both counts:
He didn’t nullify the Genjutsu as he’d already seen it, and this scene was meant to be ironic, because if Deidara could nullify the Genjutsu, why couldn’t he do it the second time? This makes his statement, “I won’t fall for the same trick twice!” ironic as he did fall for the same trick twice.
What Deidara’s training actually does is that it tells him that what he saw was Genjutsu, so that he can use the replacement jutsu in time to keep himself safe. Sasuke never cast any “paralysis” Genjutsu on him. He showed him things, and Deidara saw them exactly as they were meant to be seen. The Genjutsu wasn’t longer than that.
FIN.
