He snapped his fingers.

I shock my head.
Prom was almost here , they could have told be that they decided to go to prom at the last minute , I thought I had months to plan but it seems I am only given 2 days.
And another flash news we have a week off school cause of a historical exhibition , makes sense why they planned prom on a Tuesday.
" Look , umm , thanks for coming with me ." Johnie said.
" No , thank you for inviting me ." I smiled at him.
" Ohh by the way this years theme is a masquerade ball." he said.
" But , I don't have a mask, those girls are in big trouble." I huffed.
Johnie chuckled : " Don't worry , they give masks outside the entrance."
" Ohh." I said.
Well , they are well prepared.
Johnie sighed.
" Whats wrong?" I asked turning to look at him.
" Your ride is already here, I was gonna offer you a ride." he said.
I smiled , sometimes he can be so innocent.
I stretched on my toes and kissed his cheek.
" Its prom soon you will get your chance." I winked at him.
Gaven was already at his usual position.
" I see someone lied." he said.
"What ?"
" You said you didn't have a prom date , seems too me you are all fixed."
" How did you kn-"
" Nevermind." he said.
He looked pissed.
With Gaven , when I finally reach out , he always slips away.
When he dropped me off he said : " I have errands to run , I'll be late."
" You are always late." I blurted out. Didn't mean to sound obsessive.
" Well it is my house , its my curfew." For a second there , the usual spark in his eyes that gave me shivers was back.

But he let go when my phone vibrated.
" Seems you don't lack company though." he added.
And off with the wind he went.
Johnie was on the other end of the line.
" Hey , A , turn on the tv."
I went inside and turned on the tv as told.
" What ? " I said.
" Its the second time , another forest got on fire."
Johnie was right , this time is was on the other side of the city.
" I don't understand how they get on fire." I said.
" Well , teenagers having a bonfire." he said.
Somehow that doesn't satisfy me at all.
Gaven wasn't there this time.

I sighed : " Girl , no , no."
" Why not ?" she whined
" Cause it doesn't match."
" Fine , than what ?"
" You want blue so badly ?"
" Yeah."
" Than how about you go on a dark blue , but don't use too much or you will have a black eye , only on the edge to give it that smoky touch, good enough ?"
" Yeah , kisses A see ya."
I sighed when Charlotte hung up , she called to see what she can do for make up . I shock my head, its time to get ready.
What will Gaven say when he sees me in this dress ?
I was excited , but he will probably not be here in time.
As usual Gaven was out.
I can't ruin my mood.
I put on some music and got started.
I took my time in the bathroom , Johnie will come pick me up in 2 hours , I have loads of time.
I was humming to a Celine Dion song when a knock on the door startled me.
" Alice." Gaven sounded tired.
" Yeah?" I was half naked and somehow even if he was outside the door I still blushed.
" Just checking , everything alright ?"
" Yeah , what about you , you seem tired?"
He chuckled : " Yeah , need anything ?"
" No thank you."
" Alright."
When I was sure he closed the door to my room , I came out .
His cologne made me swoon , somehow it lingered in the room.
I sighed.
" Well , lets get the make up done."
I applied some foundation , a touch of bronzer and a touch of blush.
For my eyes , I went for a smoky eye , green with black. I am not so good at this but I was feeling pretty.
I went for nude lips , didn't want to make my face look like a cake.
For my hair , I curled it , at the end of the night , the curls would be gone but it still will give my hair that wavy look, I hoped.
" Alice."
" Yeah?" he startled me again.
" Your date is here." he didn't sound happy.
" Shit."
Thank God I was finished , I only had the dress to put on and shoes.
" Gaven."
" Yeah?"
" Can you zip it up for me ?"
I opened the door , I was completely covered but his eyes where undressing me.
" Gav?" I said
" Umm , yeah."
His fingers barely touched my skin but I could still feel it hot where he touched.
" There." he said.
"Thanks." I smiled up at him.
" No prob." he smiled back , I wished he could always smile , but there was darkness in his smile that I couldn't understand.
" Well , I'm off." I said fidgeting.
" Yeah." he said.
I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand.
He kissed me on the cheek.
I shivered all over.
" Have fun and you look beautiful." he said half smiling.
I just smiled , I couldn't respond.
I took good care not to fall on the stairs.
" There you are." Johnie said and kissed me on the cheek , the other cheek.
No shiver this time.
" You look beautiful."
I shook my head and took a good look at my date.
He was handsome , with his black tux and black bow.
" You look handsome too and I guess you dropped the underwear idea." I said.
He laughed.
" Madam." he said extending his arm.
I took it and off we were.
I hope this will be a good night.
I sighed.
" Everything ok ? " Johnie said.
" Yeah , lets go get our prom on."
Johnie laughed and helped me in his car.
