The unconscious female slips down Lola's back with every footprint she makes in the dirty snow.
Her house is in coming into view, she can almost make out the wooden engravings. Trying to direct her focus elsewhere instead of the frosty air wrapping its arms around her stiff body.
Her determination doesn't quite translate to her wobbling bones as she approaches the cabin. Though she collapses to the floor covered in bottomless snow, Lola makes sure the woman is well-supported before her inevitable tumble.
"Marshel!" She screeches with the icy winds gripping her throat.
Her voice carries through the air to her brothers' ears, as he jumps with worry rushing to his sister's aide.
Mimicking a tickle, he drags his hands along her arms before settling them on her shuddering shoulders.
"Are you alright!?" He yells straight in her face, he can't help it, his anxious mind is busy calculating the worst outcome.
Her friends' bustling hair moves in a blur as she appears by Lola's side matching the worrisome expression Marshel wore.
"I'm fine," a tired tear trickles down her flushed face, "Marshel please help her up and Lola please help me I'm so tired."
Marshel wants no time to be wasted as he wants his sister safe. So knowing her stubbornness he helps the woman from off the fluffy ice and toward the warmth. Bliss provides her arms as support to help her shaky friend from the air's cold grip.
Marshel gently lays the woman's body softly on the couch, before rushing to get her a cool rag.
Lola's bones stuck to the chair the moment her eyes drifted to Bliss fetching her a glass of water.
Bliss carefully hands Lola the cup with sturdy hands before settling in front of her, "What happened out there? Y-You, don't have to speak if you find it difficult."
Lola holds her finger out as she gulps the water down her aching throat.
She sets the glass down before calling over her brother to listen in as well.
"I was running for what seemed like hours before I heard her. So I ran toward the noise and I found her and that man. So we fought him off before running and then she fell out so I carried her here. Then, well, you know the rest," Lola relays the past events to the two.
Marshel's thick brows furrow as new thoughts begin to form.
"It can't be a coincidence that twice in a row that pervert appeared here. Last time she thought she recognized the man, this time he happens to be in the forest when she runs out," he thinks aloud. He makes sure to make a mental note to ask the woman later.
But he can't shake the uneasiness, his family could be at stake because of her. He sighs as decides for himself that it wouldn't hurt to play along with the situation.
For now, at least.
"I'll go finish up the stew, you go freshen up her rag," he straightens his legs before placing his hand upon his younger siblings' blonde locks, "I'm glad you're safe."
Lola tilts her head up to glance at the rare vulnerability her brother shares with her. She nods her head with a wide smile, "Glad to be back home."
Marshel walks off to go tend to the food as Bliss joins Lola to give the unconscious woman a refreshing rag.
Lola carefully takes the bucket of water placing it next to her as she settles on her knees in front of the couch. She takes the rag off her forehead before dipping it in the still water next to her. Lola wrings it out a bit before placing it on her forehead.
She stares down at her unconscious expression before squinting her eyes at what seems to be fluttering eyelids.266Please respect copyright.PENANAV75zFAgsXK
