Shivering from the cold, they finally reach their home.
"Alright, you put her down and I'll go fetch us all some blankets and wood for the fire," Lola glances at her brother and the poor, almost frozen girl.
Marshel breathes a sigh of relief as he gently releases the girl from his back. Taking off his cloak-like coat and his light brown gloves, he sets them off to the side. He takes a good look at the girl sprawled out on his couch.
He gazes over the light blue-ish tint that began to form over parts of her face. "Must've been from being sprawled out in the snow for so long," he thought to himself.
Like him and his sister, she was a blonde as well. But something caught his attention, not only the way she was dressed but the thing that was around her neck.
She appeared to have silk garments clinging to her, which you weren't able to find where they lived. The thing around her neck was a gold chain tucked into her gown.
As he draws his hand closer to take a close look an individual speaks up from behind him, "What are you doing?"
Marshel jumps at the voice and spins around to face his sister's peering eyes. "What are you doing?" She repeats herself.
He chuckles nervously, "Jeez, Lola you scared me."
Lola takes one last accusing glance at her brother before sitting near the fireplace. "How cold is she?" Lola asks, placing the rough, thick wood in the fireplace.
He turns around to look at the blonde woman on the couch and places his hand on her face feeling around for her temperature.
She feels like a melting ice cube.
Cold but not too cold.
"If we get her to the fire now, she'll probably wake up in a few hours," he tells Lola as he retracts his hand from the woman's face.
Lola nods acknowledging his words and turns her attention back to the fireplace.
Finally getting all the wood in the fireplace, she tries to get the flames going, but to no avail, the fire never started.
Marshel chuckles to himself and Lola turns around with her lips fixed in a pout, "Help me, please?" He nods his head yes and began to get the fire started in no time.
"Alrighty then let's get her over here," Lola gets up tapping Marshel's shoulder.
Marshel hoists the woman up and into his arms, carrying her to the crackling fireplace. Lola retrieves some of the bigger pillows and the blankets she had picked up earlier.
Placing two of the plush pillows next to each other on the floor. Marshel gently places the woman's head between the pillows and grabs one of the blankets to cover her body with.
Lola gives her brother one pillow and the last one to herself. They grab the remaining blankets and cover themselves.
Lola is closest to the woman, so she brushes her hand upon her cheek silently praying that she will wake up.325Please respect copyright.PENANAQzvaTYKZ6y
