“You may kiss the bride!”
“LET’S GO PRONGS!” Raegan yelped from the crowd.
James and Lily were locked in the most beautiful kiss they’d ever seen. Sirius shed a tear. “So when are you going to get married?” He asked Raegan.
“I don’t know…” They glanced over to the front as Lily threw her bouquet into the crowd. A tall person caught it, obviously having the advantage. He turned around, waving it enthusiastically at Raegan.
“Fuck,” Raegan grinned incredulously. “Fuck…” Sirius groaned, covering his face.
Anthony weaved through the disappointed crowd and over to Raegan, who took the bouquet from him, giving him a kiss. Remus gave Sirius a comforting pat on the back. “They’re not a kid anymore,” he murmured. “Like, literally this time.”
The cake was cut, the food was good, and soon enough, drinking games were underway.
“PADFOOT, PADFOOT, PADFOOT!” The Marauders cheered as he chugged a whole bottle of fire whisky. Through the mess, Raegan could spot Peter sitting a short way, glowering and kicking at the grass.
“Hey, Wormy,” Raegan approached him. “Big day, huh?”198Please respect copyright.PENANA5u1tswEhOG
“Yeah… It’s fun.”
“Is it? How’ve you been? Your mum alright?”
Peter groaned, running his hand through his hair. “...I don’t know what I’m doing… you guys all seem to have it figured out…”
Raegan knit their eyebrows together in an empathetical sigh. “No, we don’t Petey. As much as it looks like we’ve got a plan, we don’t. We’re really just legging it. Did you see Remus and Sirius? They keep arguing and making up afterward– it’s crazy. Might as well get married too!”
“Hmph… yeah…”
“I want you to know that no matter how alone you feel, you’re always welcome. No matter what, alright?” Raegan placed a hand on his shoulder. He nodded with a sigh, offering a half smile. “I’ll go get a drink…”
“Alright, Pete. Have a good evening,” Raegan waved as his figure disappeared into the crowd.
Anthony joined them, putting his drink down on a vacant chair. “Did you talk to him?” He asked. Raegan nodded wistfully. “Hopefully… he doesn’t do anything that he’s going to regret…”
“We did what we could,” Anthony nodded. “It’s his turn to try.”
They shared a full minute of silence as they leaned on each other, not even needing to say a word, or telepathically communicate for that matter. It was just them watching James as he also tried to down a bottle of fire whiskey, but Lily took the bottle away, saying he’s had enough. Sirius and Remus are nowhere to be seen either.
“Ready to go home? I doubt you wanna stay for James’ drunken speech about loving Lily for most his life,” Anthony kissed Raegan’s forehead. “I don’t know,” Raegan smiled, chuckling. “I kind of do.”

[A/N]: Poor Peter! Makes me cry every time I have to recall that moment... and it's coming up after the next chapter. Pure, emotional outburst.
