Raegan lay naked on the floor of a Gryffindor dorm room… like the rest of the Marauders. Remus didn’t get too hurt that night so they carried him there. He lay sound asleep on his bed.
That day was a school day, however, so when James, Sirius, and Peter woke, Raegan insisted they go on and Raegan would watch over Remus.
“Oh yeah, can I borrow any one of your clothes?” They asked, crisscrossed on Jame’s bed. “I kind of left mine in the woods…”
“Y…You can borrow mine… I think it’ll fit…”
They looked over to Remus, who was pointing weakly at his trunk. “Thanks, by the way.”
Raegan stood up with mild surprise. “Oh. Sure. No problem. Just doing what friends do.”
As soon as Raegan pulled on the oversized jumper and baggy trousers, they fell in love with it… Sirius almost did.
“Wow, Moony!” Raegan guffawed, laying on his bed. “It’s so comfortable…The one Sirius got you last year, yeah?”
“You almost look like Moony if you covered your face,” Peter put in. Sirius blushed furiously, confirming Raegan’s suspicions. “No, I don’t,” They replied haughtily. “I’m Eyewart, the unscholarly-scholar.” “Even better,” James laughed, watching Sirius squirm at the uncanny resemblance to his “lover-to-be”. (wink wink)
Once the trio left, it was just Remus and Raegan hanging out in the dorm room.
“So,” Remus murmured in a soft voice. “You actually did it, huh?”
Raegan smiled and got back onto his bed. “I can ‘read’ minds. Save you energy.”
“Alright then,” Remus thought, closing his eyes. Raegan lay back and did the same.
“You know I want to help out my friends. I couldn’t just sit back and watch.”
“Of course you wouldn’t… Always wanting to help… So thanks…”
“Yeah, no problem… Moony?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you… like, scared of me?”
“No. Why?”
“Well… every time I tell people about being a Legillimens, they smile and say, ‘Oh, that’s cool’. They swear they’re fine with it, but I can feel them getting distant... So then I just end up being the one putting distance and inevitably leave them. So… I always try to keep it a secret.”
“Hm… I feel you…”
“I didn’t want to keep it a secret from you guys by the way… I didn’t want to scare you off…”
“Believe it or not, I was in the same position.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, it’s not like any of them were dead-set on becoming animagus for me the moment we met… But they found out… they always do…”
“Hm… yeah… tell me about it…”
“Heh…”
“Did you suspect I was a Legillimens?”
“At first, no. But the longer Sirius kept on teasing about you and Severus ‘communicating’, I started suspecting something, but I didn’t give it much thought… I just guessed you were in the same position I was in. So I waited for you to tell us.”
“Hm… damn.”
“Yup… What a night…” Remus concluded. Raegan sighed. After a moment, they raised a brow.
“Are you and Sirius–”
“NO.”
“Are you–”
“NO.”
“COME ON–”
“ENOUGH. GET OUT OF MY HEAD–”
“ALRIGHT HAHA!”
