“Okay, it’s your time to shine…” Wormtail swallowed, barely visible in the full moon a rain poured around them. Both Prongs and Padfoot were with Moony at that moment. “Just imagine it– you’re an animal. Feel yourself transform.”
Raegan didn’t know how it was going to turn out exactly… even if they read the directions a few couple hundred times. But if they made one mistake now, everything wouldn’t matter. They might get stuck in that form, half animal-human…
NO. They couldn’t think about that! They had to focus. Chanting the words over and over, they felt themself transform as they dropped their wand.
“It’s working! You can do it!” Wormtail cheered on in a hushed fanfare. “I can see… feathers…”
An owl. Fuck the Eagle, fuck the Raven: Owl. A mysterious long-eared owl with needle precision. Just… a little… more…
“Oh god… are you still human inside? Or… are you going to eat me?”
“What? Wormtail, why would I eat you?”
“OH SHIT IT WORKED!”
“LIKE– ACTUALLY, WHAT?” Eyewart felt themselves spread their wings. They jumped up, or rather, hopped with joy. “Let’s go find the others,” Eyewart said, calming down and getting back on track. “Hope Monsieur Werewolf likes owls.”
Eyewart picked up Wormtail with ease, making sure not to grip too tight. “Wow, your talons are sharp…” Wormtail gulped as they soared above the trees, cutting through the rain. “Find them yet?”
“Not yet… I’m gonna dive down,” Eyewart said. “Brace yourself.”
In a split second, they were on a nosedive, plummeting into the trees as Wormtail screamed–squeaked. “Oh, there they are,” Eyewart mused “And it looks like they found a possum… hmm… Let’s wait for now.”
They placed the shivering Wormtail carefully on a branch. They watched as both the werewolf and Padfoot skillfully maneuver the creature into a corner until… BAM! The werewolf pounced and kills the possum, deep crimson splattering across the forest floor.
Eyewart picked up Wormtail and flew down to meet the rest of them. Werewolf, sensing a new presence, abandoned its prey and wandered over, sniffing the bird. All of them, Prongs, Wormtail, and Padfoot remained completely still, wondering the fate of Eyewart…
It snapped at the Owl’s wings and scampered off, Padfoot chasing after it. Prongs nodded, showing that Eyewart was indeed, now a part of the pack.207Please respect copyright.PENANAFQ89nCuIIv

[A/N]: I had to do research on owls for this... Correct me if I'm wrong, but long-eared owls have tufts of hair on their head, but it literally doesn't contribute to their hearing. Just a fun fact in case you were getting bored of the Marauder stuff...
