As long as we've loved, it becomes imprinted in our memories.

To Gao Tian Yu, love was like a game. Every move he had made with his Xiao Xun had involved a risk of some kind. He had taken a little gamble for him to have progressed so much with his Xiao Xun.
According to Auntie Yi Lian, Zhi Xun would have her twenty-second birthday in two months. Before their flight, he had been communicating with her. In fact, from her hinting and her questions to him about how he felt about Zhi Xun and marriage, it had been obvious to him of the plan she was hatching. Yi Lian strongly believed she would be able to convince Zhi Xun that faking marriage plans were necessary for her mother's well-being, after all, it had been her mother's final wishes for her to get married.
He hadn't been concerned about the fake marriage plans, but there had been something else on his mind. The longer they had been together, the more he simply found her irresistible. Almost a month ago, he was able to contain his sexual urges for her very well. But this had changed in just a week of being together. Not a minute went past without him harbouring lustful feelings for her. What bothered him was the possibility for it to affect their relationship in the future. While he was looking into ways of enhancing her satisfaction in their relationship, he was worried that their lust for each other would eventually exceed their love for each other.
Perhaps it was their mutual understanding of each other that made him want her more day after day. Or maybe it was that part of him that wanted to make her his own, and call her his woman. That part of him was jealous and insecure of any man who tried to go near her. She was killing him and slowly turning him into a monster. Whether it had been in the plane, or the solitude of any bedroom, he simply wanted her. She had been so perfect in his eyes with her flawless figure, her curves and every sensitive piece and part of her. Even their lovemaking had felt so perfect, especially her uncontrollable moaning. It sounded like music to his ears. He had fit in her cavity so well, that it was if they were made for each other.
He had been watching her sleeping peacefully on her bed, until she was awakened by the loud noises from the neighbouring room. "You're awake," he said. "It's a marvel you slept through all that commotion."
"Ah," she said. "I just had a dream."
"Of me?" he teased.
She didn't know how to explain the fact that she had seen him in her dreams as a winged man in black. There had been this particular memory where she saw him lift up her chin and pin a flower bud behind her ear. Somehow, when she thought of this memory, she felt pain in her chest. She believed that if this memory was of a past lifetime, she must have loved him very deeply. But had he felt the same way?
"Maybe," she smiled.
"Does it still hurt?" he asked. "I may have been a little rough earlier, but it wasn't intentional. I must have got too carried away."
She felt a little soreness in her lower body while getting up from the bed, but it hadn't hurt as much as the first time. "I'm fine."
"Just lie in bed a while longer," he said. "Are you hungry? Do you need me to get something for you?"
"I'm good," she replied. "But we have a problem."
"What kind of problem?" he asked.
"The box ran out last night."
He wanted to laugh. "What magic have you used on me, Xiao Xun? You bewitched me and made me want you so bad last night. And then you didn't let me stop."
Zhi Xun turned red in embarrassment. They had totally lost count of how many times they had done the deed the night before, to the extent that they had run out of protection. Before him, she had yet to meet a man who turned her on with the tenacity he did. She had looked forward to popping her cherry with her Mr. Right since she turned twenty, but until she met him, nobody had appealed to her. When she was with him, the thought hadn't occurred to her whether he was her Mr. Right or her destiny or not, she simply wanted him there and then. And even now, she wanted him more than ever.
"Remember what you said last night, Xiao Xun," he said with a smile. "You'd better stick to your word, or I'll punish you." His eyes gleamed as he said the last sentence.
She tried to change the topic. "Err... my aunt hasn't said anything since coming back. Maybe I should get going to my room."
He snickered. "Have you forgotten? Your aunt said we should stay in this room."
Now that he had mentioned it, something had felt amiss. Her aunt had actually allowed them to stay in a room together. That didn't make sense, unless her aunt was trying to bring them together in marriage. Was there something she didn't know about?
Her family's financial burden had been so heavy on her shoulders initially, that she had seriously considered finding a partner to share her burden in marriage, only for it to end horrendously with the loser Herman. But ever since the mysterious Samaritan had donated such a big amount of money towards her mother's medical expenses, and according to her aunt, also left a balance of money in their family's bank account, she had lost her purpose in looking for that partner. She might as well be that dutiful girlfriend to Tian Yu and let him take care of her, since she enjoyed his companionship and desired him anyway.
She decided to find out from Tian Yu directly rather than guess. She came closer to sit next to him on the floor.
"Dear, my aunt is a traditional person, and yet, she allowed us to stay together in a room. Did you tell her that we have something between us or something?"
He looked at her lovingly, and ran his long slender fingers in her silky hair. "Yes, I'm guilty. She asked me of my thoughts of marriage, and I told her you're still in university and the choice lies on your shoulders. I just spoke my mind."
She almost choked on her saliva. "Did you mislead her into thinking we are.." She stopped as she remembered that she had passed his trial the night before. "..that far."
"We can always go further, if you want. As long you let me," he whispered.
She closed her eyes and indulged in the warmth of his lips on hers. She knew Tian Yu meant well and had liked her a lot, but Yi Lian might exploit that kindness. She wasn't raised by Yi Lian to marry a regular employee, but perhaps if Tian Yu was able to charm her, probably he had the same effect on Yi Lian or even her mother.
"Sleep now, my Xiao Xun," he hushed. "We have to go to the hospital tomorrow."
............................................................................
She saw the winged man again in her dreams. This time, he was angry and smashing pottery on the floor. He had been so angry, yelling as if he was drunk. She couldn't hear his words clearly, but they had sounded like "I'll not be a caged bird!" followed by"I'll not be imprisoned! Why is she doing this to me?"
She felt that pain in her chest again...
She was suddenly awakened by Tian Yu playing the guitar and singing along softly to a tune on his phone. She had never heard him sing before, and it was the first time she had seen this side of him. It was already eight in the morning, and Tian Yu had already showered and dressed.
"Slept well last night?" Tian Yu said, putting down the guitar.
"Uhum. Did you sleep at all?" she asked.
"I'm a light sleeper, so I wake up early at the slightest sound. I met a child. He sold me this guitar. He even taught me a song."
"You must be a fast learner, since you sang quite well just now."
"I hope I didn't wake you up with my singing."
"Maybe you did, but because it was good." She smiled.
"How do you want me to reward you for your sweet words this morning?"
Before she could answer him, she found herself pinned to the bed with her hands above her head. She felt her lower body twitching with desire when his body pressed against hers. That was no kiss! Whatever it was, it had almost taken her breath away and led her to yearn for more.
