Su Mo rubbed the bruise on his face and recalled what had happened.
It had been more than three years ago, when he and Gao Tian Yin had been strolling along the sandy beaches of Bali after some hours of drinking at the club.
He had found her pretty, but his mind had been on Zhi Xun. As he was a social drinker, he had challenged her to an alcohol drinking session, in the hopes of digging out more information on Zhi Xun. They found a cozy place on the beach away from the crowd, and then Su Mo took his stash out of his duffel bag. It was an extremely strong miniature version of alcoholic beverages, which were much more stronger than the actual larger versions.
She was talking so much. He watched her lips move, and brushed away the feeling of wanting to kiss her. He wondered how it was possible that he had not noticed her properly during his initial meeting with her brother. She was attractive, and had he not met Zhi Xun first, he would have wanted to date her. He liked how she talked, and his heart would skip a beat watching the movement of her lips.
He was a superb drinker, much better than Zhi Xun and Tian Yu added up together, as he had been exposed to alcohol since he was conceived in the womb. How he was born to a drunkard mother, nobody knew. But why was his heart feeling so fluttery with her? No, no, he convinced himself that it was Zhi Xun he liked. It must be the alcohol speaking from his mind. He tried not to pay his thoughts any attention.
"I don't believe I will lose to you," she said, and took another bottle from him. "Ah, it's hot, so hot." She unbuttoned the top buttons of her dress. The lace of her brassiere was popping out from her dress, and was tempting him and reminding him of his first love, who had broken his heart. Hilarie had liked wearing these styles of bras, especially lacy ones like the one she was wearing now.
She tripped over and fell over him on the sands while she was trying to take the next bottle from him. The alcohol in these drinks were potent, and she had seemed so high and sensual after a few rounds of drinks. He helped her up, and their eyes locked.
"Miss Gao, are you really drunk? As the saying goes, when one is drunk, he is only 70 per cent drunk and 30 per cent aware."
"I am not drunk," she said, looking at him in the eye. To prove it, she pecked him on the lips. "There's a lot I haven't managed to get done because of my brother. I want to have a boyfriend, I want to try everything I haven't. I haven't even seen a man naked. I held myself back all these years because of his protectiveness. If Su Mo can give him some competition, maybe he'll focus on that instead and give me my freedom."
"Do you really want to know how it's like to be deflowered?" he teased. She pulled herself up and had another bottle.
"I want to know it before I die. Fang Qi, he would never even give me a second look. Maybe it's these conservative clothes I have been wearing in front of him." She undid another button, as if trying to tempt him. "Mister, do you think I am pretty?"
"You definitely are. There are so many fish in the sea, why insist on this one?" While she still had some degree of consciousness, he knew she was also somewhat drunk. Would she remember him?
He caught her as she fell on top of him, and she didn't push him away when he tasted her lips. Amidst the alcohol, her lips had tasted sweet.
She said with a laugh, "Just how many ladies have fallen prey to you?"
"I don't remember, but the total number lies between twenty to thirty." He smiled, and kissed her again. He couldn't help but feel how he had a connection with her drunken, wild self. She seemed to be so much different from the Tian Yin he had just exchanged his number with, at the bar. He suddenly desired to feel for himself, how pure and untouched the girl before him was. Even if it was just one time in his life, that they both wouldn't regret.
"How does it feel to be kissed for the first time?" he asked after the kiss.
"Can I try to kiss you?" she asked back. He allowed her to kiss him, and watched as her tongue explored his mouth. She smiled shyly. "Actually, I've already had my first kiss.. but it was a long time ago.."
"What about something else?"
His warm hand was on hers, and before she knew it, he was fondling her, feeling every part of her and giving her an experience that she would never imagine of. She gasped as his hands invaded her dress and massaged her sensually. She had never felt something like that before. What was this newfound feeling?
"Does it feel good?" he asked the girl. She replied,"It feels...great.. but I feel..hot.. I want...more.."
He liked her answer, and he didn't want to be a gentleman any more, especially after what had happened with his ex, and with each girl leaving him after they had enough of his money.. He felt the greed of wanting to give this sweet virgin a first time..after all, she would wake up from her dream and it would be all over, and it seemed like she did want something.
She didn't know what sex was like, and all that had happened between her and Fang Qi during their camping trip had been but a kiss.. She was curious, being bore down by her overprotective brother for so long, she wanted a first time. She didn't know it would all come to this, when he lifted up her dress and peeled off her undies, discovering what was beneath, the part of her that had never been touched by another man.
His ex had cheated on him and left him for another man. He had been waiting for love for so long. Although he was branded as a playboy, it wasn't actually the case. It was just that he was rich, that no women would want him for who he was and just wanted a part of his riches.. Nobody had really loved him. And he simply desired this flower, which he saw pure as a lotus, untouched by any man before him.. even if it was just one night...
He remembered how the sands around them had been flying around in their wildness as she screamed, and whether it was in her ecstasy or her pain, he didn't realise. They continued in the solitude of her room, where he was able to see and feel for himself her fully naked self. He was a coward, to have left her alone in her hotel suite and fled after that wild night with her. After that night with her, he had never felt that way before. It was the feeling of guilt and remorse for what he had done for his greed and selfishness in taking her first time from her that was eating away at him... From that day onward, he had never heard of her again.. And partially because he had dropped his phone in the sea and her number was gone. The guilt was overwhelming, and he, like any other coward, thought that running away was the solution.
He thought that after receiving an anonymous message from someone that Zhi Xun was in danger and rescuing her, she would be indebted to him and perhaps marry him so that he could forget the incident and his guilt, and at the same time, also fulfill his parents' wishes for him to get married. But in the end, it was uncovered that Zhi Xun was the granddaughter of the enemy that his grandfather had almost died from, so his parents had insisted that he no longer be involved with her.
And then, three months ago, which was three years after the incident, a beautiful lady had come submitting her resume to Su Amore, his grandfather's fashion and garment manufacturer company, for an internship, and was accepted on the spot. But one night had been particularly glued into his memory. Because of a lack of manpower in Su Amore, she had voluntarily went with him for drinks to entertain a client. After the client left, she had collapsed on him and due to their drunkenness, they had shared a kiss with each other. He had asked her if she remembered what happened at Bali. She answered in her drunken stupor, that she had an one-night stand with a man and woke up in her room but she couldn't remember how he looked like. He saw her home after that.
The next day, she apologised that she was simply saying things while she was drunk. He asked her again about the man in Bali, and she said that she didn't remember his face. And with the two months of working with him as his assistant designer, he had felt her connection with him again. But whenever he asked her out, she rejected him by telling him she had a fiancé...
Perhaps he should have waited, and probably the outcome would not have turned out like this between them, because all she remembered, was a wild night and not the person who she had slept with, not even where or how it happened. In her heart, the only person that resided in it had been Fang Qi, and was never him. Of course, Su Mo wouldn't know this, and neither would he know that this was the results of a love trial that had been written for him, one that he would never get love from whom he loved. Whether it was Hilarie or Tian Yin, the results would be the same.
