She raced into the hospital, almost slipping in her heels as she quickly stopped at the reception area. She immediately demanded to know where the patient by the name of Gao Tian Yu was. The nurse explained that there were at least fifty Gao Tian Yu's in the hospital, so asked for his age.
"29 years old," she answered in a panic.
"The doctor's checking on him now in Room 251," the nurse said. "May I know how what is your connection to him?"
"I'm his family," she said without a second thought, and quickly ran into the elevator before the nurse could stop her.

She observed that the patient in Room 251 was in critical condition, and was strapped on a life support machine, appearing to be in a comatose condition. Zhi Xun walked into the room with a pouty face. She had just been misunderstood by the family of the patient in Room 251, to be a swindler that had just broke down in front of the room in an attempt to con them into giving her money. "It was just too humid and stuffy in that room," he explained. "I got dizzy and fell off a scaffold as I was climbing down. It wasn't very high since I was halfway down, so I just sprained my ankle. But because of my health condition, they asked me to stay to be checked. I need to stay the night for observation. Well, basically because it's already seven now, so they want me to stay overnight and discharge me early tomorrow morning."
"What about the call earlier? Your co-worker sounded in a panic."
"That Addie is a freak," he laughed. "He panics at everything from spiders to Beetles."
"Beetles?"
"Volkswagen Beetles."
"Oh."
"Do you know women also freak him out?" Tian Yu asked. "Basically, everything freaks him out. So don't take him seriously."
"Uh," Zhi Xun tried her best to smile at the fact he was trying to lighten up the mood. "Since your ankle is sprained and in a bandage, could you at least stay away from all these odd jobs for now?"
"Well, I have no choice, do I?" Tian Yu replied. "I can't do any menial tasks when my ankle is sprained, can I? It's up to someone to take care of me."
She blushed at his teasing words. "Er...okay.. I guess I can..."

"Okay, I apologise, my dear Xiao Xun." She turned away from him childishly. "I don't care, you better compensate me."
He caught hold of her by her shoulders, and spun her around with his arms to face him. Forgetting she was in her heels, she broke free from his grip, only to trip and fall forward onto his lap.
"Fortunately my lap is not injured," he said with a laugh, before kissing her uncontrollably and passionately. "Nothing daunts Huo Zhi Xun," Zhi Xun laughed. "I've made arrangements with my contacts. Easy as pie." She slipped under the blanket beside him. "It's easier this way. In case you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night."
Tian Yu shrugged. "As you like. If you don't find it too uncomfortable sharing a bed."
"Don't we already?" she responded. They had been sleeping together every other day for a couple of weeks after they had returned from Bangkok, but while they were in Bangkok they had been sexually active with each other every night, particularly when they were in the castle for five days straight, having driven each other wild with desire.
"What I mean is, a narrow patient bed," he said, giving her a sarcastic look.
"Actually, I have something to tell you." How should she say it? That she still loved him, but wanted to give them time.

He was actually glad to know she was finally admitting that she still loved him, although he had already guessed that from the hints she had left in her phone and in her apartment.
She kissed him furiously, and thought in her heart how much she loved him.

They were woken by the footsteps of the nurse in the room in the morning, and she was embarrassed by how shamelessly she was sleeping entwined with Tian Yu. As she got off the bed, she felt something missing from her chest, and glared at Tian Yu as he grinned mischievously. He was probably thinking that he would be pardoned for his crime easily because he was injured.
"You're going to get it later," she hissed as she left the room to arrange for Tian Yu's discharge from the hospital. The nurse took a measurement of Tian Yu's vitals and promptly left the room, uninterested in what she assumed to be a lover's quarrel.
"Give it back," she said as soon as they were ready to leave the hospital.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"My bra!" she whispered. "I know you have it."
"Since when do you wear bras to bed?" he teased. "I'm confiscating it."
She held up a partially translucent blouse, which she was planning to wear, to his dismay. "Do you want me to go around braless and tempt other men?" she retorted, and he handed her the item he was hiding under his pillow. They had a change of clothes and departed the hospital, not saying a single word during the journey.
She aided him in entering her apartment carefully, as he struggled on the crutches provided by the hospital, and in getting up her bed.
"Since you've already had your patient meal, I suppose you aren't hungry," she said, switching to her bossy attitude. "Now, it's time for your punishment for what you did back there."
"Like what?" he rolled his eyes at her and played with his tongue.

"What am I getting?" he feigned ignorance. She knew he was acting that way because he was injured, so she had no reason to blame him or be angry with him for long.
