Leo’s p.o.v.
Akemi went limp and started to fall before my body acted on its own and caught her, my eyes widened and I looked at the arrow in her back.
It was made of ice but it was red, I looked out the window looking for anyone in sight but didn’t see anyone and then helped akemi to the bed laying her down.
She groaned in her sleep just as kye and the others ran in, kye had his hand over his heart as he shared the same pain as akemi and Jake’s eyes widened before running over.
“Shit shit shit shit shit shit” he said quickly his eyes wide and full of fear and worry.
“We need to stop the bleeding. Where’s Harley?” Jake asked, kye and I frowned “um...she was...attacked and killed before this all started...” kye answered.
His eyes widened and he ran his fingers through his dark brown hair “what about lela?” He asked, “getting splendor” I answered crossing my arms.
He growled and slammed his fist against the wall “DAMMIT!” He yelled.
Ani walked up behind him and rubbed her hand on his back trying to comfort him.
He sighed and looked at me just as a scream sounded from outside the window, I rushed over along with Jake and my eyes widened. Kelly was falling backwards from out her window and she locked eyes with Jake and I just window she landed with multiple horrible cracks.
I winced and Jake stood in shock, I could see the pain and hurt fill in his eyes slowly before he looked away from her and bit his lip holding in tears.
Akemi’s p.o.v.
“Taeh....taeh....”
I opened my eyes slowly and sat up before looking around, everything was white and bright. I stood and looked at my arm which was still ripped off even though there wasn’t any pain, I looked around as soon as the white started to fade and turned into a huge room.
The room had five Corinthian pillars surrounding a statue of my mother in the middle, there was a pentagram underneath the statue surrounded by the same 5 symbols that embodied my friends and I.
My eyebrows furrowed as I looked around confused on how I got there when a voice called out again and my head automatically snapped to the statue.
“There you are darling...” she said, the statue started to shift in unnatural ways and turned into the human version of mother. She smiled and held our her arms for me to run into.
I looked up at her and she cocked her head to the side.
She was beautiful...long curly hair that faded from purple to pink, she was much taller then any normal monster or human,and her smile...her smile was the most gorgeous thing about her..it always seemed to make people happier whenever they’re down.
“Darling?” She asked, I raised an eyebrow and thought for a moment “how...are you here...?” I asked finally finding my voice. She smiled and sat on her knees so, I walked over as she laid her hand on the floor.
I stepped on and looked at her as she raised me up slightly “ I’m here because...your having a hard time with stopping that war...” she said.
I sat down “how did you...actually don’t answer that...but why because of the war..?” I asked, she smiled “because you haven’t earned your full magical abilities...so it’s about time I transfer my powers over to you so you can take the throne officially...” she explained.
I stared “wait...what..but I don’t even know how to use them...and plus I don’t even have the body to harness them properly without killing myself” I said my voice hoarse.
She smiled and touched my nose with the tip of her huge finger “don’t compare yourself to me darling...you are ready to harness the power and I know it” she reassured me.
I sighed and nodded “alright what do I have to do..?” I asked, she looked at my arm and then my face and smiled “first let’s get you fixed up, here take this” she said holding a small ring that looked exactly like the one Jake got me.
My eyes widened and I took the ring before placing it on my finger, I could feel the gashes disappear along with my skin returning to its normal color.
“Where did you find it?” I asked she smiled “in the pond of memories...” she answered before moving her finger around in a circle over my head my arm healing back fully along with all my wounds and bruises.
“There...now go stand by that pillar...the one with the heart on it” she directed softly, I nodded as she put me back on the ground. I walked over and turned towards her and nodded “close your eyes darling...this might hurt a bit...” she said.
I nodded and closed my eyes right when a shock of lightening and something else struck me, I screamed in pain but kept my eyes shut and clenched my arms as I fell to my knees.
Jake’s p.o.v.
I frowned at heartless’s body as she laid there still and pale, Leo and the others had left so I stayed with her to keep her safe.
I raised an eyebrow when I saw a sort of flash of light next to me, I looked over at heartless and my eyes widened.
Her arm was growing back by itself, and all her wounds were healing on their own. I watched in shock, just as it stopped she screamed and I fell out of my chair before getting up and looking at her.
She was sweating like mad and her skull almost seemed to glow cause I could see the outline of where her “true” form was. Just then her body disappeared and reappeared behind me, I spun around her eyes snapping open and glowing full pink.
The symbols around her floating hair glowing just as brightly as she hovered near me, I had seen this form before but it was different this time...she had a huge Victorian looking crown hovering tilted on above her just inches away from her head.
She looked at me and floating towards me before pressing her lips against mine ‘wish me luck’ she said in my head.
I nodded and she disappeared.
